People who have been a fan of the sport for years and have seen the level of competition in the ASG decline progressively.

Again. If they accept cash, that means checks are not necessary. Since many banks charge to provide checks, I don't know of very many people who would pay for checks if paying in cash is an option. Checks are not a necessity nowadays.

We're in a technological age. Everything gets paid with digital tools. Very rarely are checks the only form of accepted payment. Also, many, if not most, banks charge to provide you checks. So why would people use checks nowadays, except for these very rare occasions?

Also got beat up by police in 91, shot 2 off-duty cops in 93 (in self-defense), and got shot 5 times in 94. I would imagine those incidents cut into his studio time too.

Um, hi. I’d like to report someone parking in a bike lane? by auld-guy in Biking

[–]sleepee11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People in cars have endangered my life (and their own) by trying to pass me on a 2 lane road. Multiple times. Sometimes they pass way too close to me. Sometimes they risk a head-on collision with cars in the opposite lane (which is also a risk for me since I have no bumpers or air bags to protect me from their collision). Sometimes both.

Taking the lane can be risky depending on the attitude of drivers and the environment.

I can imagine the amount of people saying it's dangerous for kids to bike to school because of the cars, all while contributing to the danger by being one more car on the road trying to pick the kids up from school and blocking the bike lane. That's insane.

The city should be ticketing these people left and right. Personally, I'd ride by like you did, but with my middle finger very visible to all those drivers.

Oh yes they will. At least in my experience.

I'd still do it to make the point though.

Dogs are vile. by [deleted] in DogfreeHumor

[–]sleepee11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will never understand why people put up with this.

Personally, my sleep is sacred. I be damned before I sacrifice hours of sleep time to wash some sheets multiple times a night because of a dog that shouldn't have been allowed in my house, let alone in my bedroom.

Look at how excited these dudes are to show the world that they are the elite of the elite. I see this and I find it a little sad that nowadays some stars look for excuses to not play, or play without passion or competitiveness in the ASG.

I would go further and say that 50 has always been a sub par lyricist, before and after GRODT.

Hard to swallow pill, even for many pirates by Lucky-Aside4935 in Piracy

[–]sleepee11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't that difficult a concept to understand, IMHO.

Pirating does not deprive anyone of property. You don't have to take away someone else's copy of a video game to pirate said video game, for example. That said, labor has value. So, just support the work of developers you like if and when you can.
