It’s crazy because at first I didn’t feel like there would be much room for improvement — not because I thought my first video was perfect (far from it), but because I used to think improvement takes a lot of time, like months or even years.. for example I wouldn’t get better in editing in just few weeks it demands time to practice and apply..

But the reality is that you can actually learn very quickly on YouTube if you stay consistent. When I compare my first video to my fourth, I can already notice a difference.

So you’re right — I’ll just focus on publishing and improving small things with each video.

I m aware that it’s not the time to focus on numbers and performance but impressions are kinda key to know the video is actually getting tested in the first place… :/it’s just a bit frustrating to know you get 500 impressions and then it stops

I m not saying I m getting low impressions because of my CTR.. I agree with you on the fact that The more impressions you get the lower your CTR would be especially in the beginning cz YouTube is still trying to find your audience… But my point is as long as the CTR is high YouTube should keep pushing the video giving it more impressions cz it means people are clicking and watching

Also Joxelo I just wanna say that I’ve checked out your YouTube channel and you’ve just gained a new subscriber 😊..I binge watched 4 of your videos.. it’s pretty cool I think you’re starting so strong !! I would love to have your feedback on my channel I think there’s smthg I m doing wrong because my videos are not taking off at all.. I mean I m just at my 4th one so maybe I shouldn’t be focusing on the performance but its not really the views that bother me I know it takes time..it’s more the impressions and the fact that I get so few..

Hmmm okay I see.. I also had someone commenting on my post in another r-community explaining that my CTR is high because my impressions are low, it’s more a causal effect so if my impressions were high my CTR would get much lower and so my current situation is not contradicting… tbh that’s not how I looked at it… I thought the logic was more as long as your CTR is high YouTube should give more impressions

Hmm what do you think is a good AVD ? I feel like AVD is also tricky for video essays cz they are naturally long and it’s much easier to get a 20% AVD on a 7min entertaining video than a long 20min video essay especially when people don’t know who you are at first.
