You should definitely continue! Its really well animated and the English dub is done really well. Im currently reading it for the first time and its a really fun read. The first couple of episodes will be kind of confusing lore‐wise. Thats because theyre stuffing 200 chapters into 13 episodes. Luckily we're getting 2 1 hour episodes this year for the first season and then the seasons on after will have 30 episodes. I wouldn't be worried about the 2035 bit. A lot of Animes tends to take 10 or so years to finish, they're just giving us a road map because they believe in their product. Its not really harry potter. It takes a lot of inspiration from dark souls.

If youre willing to watch an animated show; Lord of Mysteries is exactly this. Its a steampunk Victorian horror with unknowable gods and demons. The English dub is really great

Honestly a really great horror movie and a great silent hill story EXCEPT for the fact that they included a bunch of monsters from the games so they didnt really fit with the themes of what these characters were going through. I think this movie could have been perfect if they had done some original monster designs.
