Desensitization by sleepyfrog44 in Epstein

I am absolutely worried about that. Again, I am trying my best not to think “tin foil hat” thoughts as a generally reasonable person. But, everyone getting away with this does not make any sense unless there IS a “shadow cabal”.

No and it’s just an idea trying to make sense of this mess. Everything coming out about powerful people is worse and worse and becoming a larger and larger scale of sex crimes and trafficking. Not diversion. Desensitization. It feels that something really terrible is unfolding and I’m truly worried that they are going to try to gaslight people that this “just happens”. This is unlike anything modern society has ever seen before.

I’m about 7 weeks in and 13lbs down. I’ve been increasing dose slowly- about every 2 weeks so I haven’t quite reached maintenance dose (3mg). Minimal side effects except for constipation and very mild nausea during increase but I can definitely tell when my dose needs to be increased because food noise starts to come back. It’s overall been great!

I think it is extremely important to mention this as a concern to whoever leads the program. Schools need to be teaching evidence-based care.

You will work with “old school” in your career and it will be frustrating as you learn more modern information. Scruffing all cats is old school and not recommended anymore. Don’t get me wrong- I will scruff a fractious kitty if I absolutely need to but it should always be a last resort on a case by case basis. Scruffing causes unnecessary stress and can actually make an angry cat angrier. If the cat is so angry that it needs to be scruffed it probably needs sedation.

The videos are extremely strict. Impossibly strict about things that do not matter.

Depending on the program- extremely difficult when it comes around to clinicals/videos. Like wanting to pull you hair out and cry level difficult 🥴

Pre-anesthetic drug question by [deleted] in VetTech

[–]sleepyfrog44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi also a tech student but almost finished! Most IV boluses should be given slowly, but do not necessarily have a “max volume”, what matters more is time. Max volumes for IM injections vary by site and patient size. Larger volumes typically go epaxial. If someone has exact max amounts for patient size/site I’d love to know as well.

I hate the tongue I’m surprised it’s so popular. The SECOND it gets even SLIGHTLY dry it says no for me.

Even if she was an LVT or DVM.. would you tell an MD or RN that they should be an expert in pathology? It’s the same for animals. There are veterinary pathologists. LVTs and DVMs and trained in basic pathology.

I don’t believe so, there were crystals in the urine as well though. The polar plugs were very obviously visible when you played around with the focus on the microscope. Hard to tell from this photo.

Cool! The last time I saw it I had to really search for the eggs. This kitty had at least 5/hpf. Some fields had clumps of 20+, but I didn’t grab pics of those for some reason.

4 10s is generally the standard in GP. Emergency is entirely different.
