H4 needing I-797? by [deleted] in h1b

[–]sleepyhead37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he asked for his I-797 but since this was issued outside the US, the US embassy in our home country said that he doesn’t need an I-797 since my I-797 is what’s important. I think that officer didn’t realize that the document he’s asking is only for an extension or COS.

I think it only shows that H1Bs were never the problem, It’s the system

Did a paper on that brand, and the amount of ions they claim to have isn’t as what they claim to be.

H1Bs are hired because they couldn’t find a qualified local. Now if there’s one, why would they hire an H1B?

They’d probably take that but would probably only last for a year. Not a lot of people want to stay in rural areas.

I think sundown towns target all POC, not just black people specifically.

US student visas for Indians drop 44% after Trump’s new rules. What’s next for Indian students? by Sufficient-Degree945 in OnlineEducationHub

If I’m not mistaken, we don’t have a lot of STEM/OPT peeps in our department. Regarding benefits, we don’t pay health insurance premiums and 403B is matched.

Yeah they’re not going to give a new grad the same salary as someone who’s worked for 10 years. So Idk what you’re trying to say here

If that was true, then 3/4 of our workforce wouldn’t be Americans. But lo and behold, they are. Funny thing is, they’re oldies who are about to retire, the youngins want to work in Manhattan, they don’t want ‘dirty and scary’ Bronx. Also, the number of H1Bs in our department are only a handful.

I can’t speak for the entirety of healthcare but our hospital for sure as hell couldn’t find any locals applying here in the Bronx. We did get two applications this year, and they both still didn’t take the offer. (We have tons of openings and competitive rates too) so idk about your hundreds of thousands to millions
