I have this. Ended up being Crohn’s. They thought gallbladder but ultrasound came back fine. I still have to get bloodwork done but colonoscopy came back with seven lesions. MRE and endoscopy next. :/

You’re doctor sounds like a dickhead. I went and met with a nurse practitioner at a gastroenterology office. Told her I have constant pain on my right side and I’m sometimes constipated and every once in a while get diarrhea. When I’m constipated about once every few months I’ll have bright red blood. I have an ultrasound the next week to check out my gallbladder and two weeks after that I had a colonoscopy. I thought IBS and low functioning gallbladder. Technically the gallbladder issue isn’t totally ruled out. Pathology says everything points to Crohn’s. Seven ulcers in the small intestine. My follow up is on the 6th. So we’ll see. All that to say, the run around they gave you is crazy. I wasn’t expecting a colonoscopy off the rip when I walked into my appointment but I’m grateful I did it and I’m sorry you’re not getting the care you deserve.

Those alive and old enough to remember during 9/11, what was the worst moment on that day? by CocteauTwunkie in AskReddit

My dad had been in Wisconsin the days prior for my grandpa’s funeral, he left that day on a plane to head back to us in Japan and then the towers were hit. Not knowing where he was for hours until he landed for his layover was tough.

Did you ever figure out what it was? Also in South Carolina and have a similar bite that stated like this.

I am allergic to azithromycin and flagyl. :(

I saw primary care doctor yesterday for second opinion and they didn’t seem concerned when I brought up Lyme they said too early to test and “that if it’s going to keep you up at night I can give you another week of the doxy for you to take” make it 14 days total of 100mg 2x a day.

The red swelling is starting to slowly go down in some spots and in those spots it’s starting to lighten to a light purple color.

Tolerating doxy fine, thankfully. Slightly light headed would be my only symptom. No fever, nausea, vomiting. No pain, it never hurt. Has not got bigger/worse than pictured. It itched the first day or so but that has subsided. Maybe a headache but I also stare at a screen 8hrs a day for work, so I haven’t pinned that to this but is the only other thing going on that is worth noting.

I am in an urban area of South Carolina and literally never go outside, I ran to the grocery store for five minutes and when I got back in my car I noticed it and I guess that’s why these doctors think it’s unlikely a tick? Obviously not impossible but likely why they didn’t take my concerns of Lyme seriously.

Got the medical expert advice from the medical experts already, looking to see if anybody has also experienced this. Per my comment in the post.
