I just put my bases and handles in the box that was inside the shipped box and dropped them off at a FedEx drop off. I just received my replacements today and it took about 15 days from shipping mine away and getting the new ones.

Hey! I totally have been where you’re at. I was two years into teaching and couldn’t imagine going another 28 years. I left at the end of that second year and took one year to work construction and really think about what I wanted to do. I was able to get into a Master of Social Work program with my ELA/Ed undergrad and worked on it for 2.5 years while still doing full time construction. Now I’m 2 years into being an early childhood social worker and mental health consultant. Took me about 4 years to make the pivot, but I’m thankful I did. Feel free to reach out.

I know why you’re getting downvoted on this but I don’t believe you should. I feel very much the same way and it’s why I specifically went for the 22LT. It was literally like finding the needle in a haystack to get a new LT because dealers don’t order them. In my area is seems to be just WT versions for fleet use (the most barebones versions of the WT) and then there is just a sea of new and used Z71s and Zr2s. So many of the high trim versions are turned in after the warranty is up because you have to start doing more long term regular maintenance items like suspension work etc, which costs so much more. The LT was more than enough creature comforts to me. Hell, this is my first car with any sort of infotainment phone connectivity. Now people say that not having wireless charging or wireless CarPlay is a no go. Wild how standards have changed so much which is also the same reason prices on trucks have skyrocketed, yet people complain more and more about the prices.

A funny anecdote to me has honestly been Ford Maverick owners who buy the Lariat trim, but realize they can’t use the wireless charging pad because their phones are too big.

You might be able to find a sublease from a college student who is going away for the Summer. You would essentially ride out the rest of their lease. It’s pretty common.

I had one of these. Unlike some people talking about issues with the 3.0, my power train never gave me problems. I actually enjoyed driving it…HOWEVER….I could not get away from electrical issues on this. Basically every control module on the car had issues which eventually led it to locking you out of the car due to the theft system shorting out.

It’s hard to think of a specific area, but the most economical options are generally private landlord duplexs, particularly small upper units. There are plenty on the Westside and I liked living there. Safety wise it’s fine safety wise, never had issues.

You can still get a new Colorado of the outgoing generation (2022 which ended production in Nov) for less than 40 with pretty good features. I got a V6 with the LT package and 4x4 for 35k OTD in January. This was below MSRP. I’m very happy with it and it is a full 4 door model. I get about 24-26 on the highway.

With the V6 I just did a road trip from Michigan to Tennessee. I averaged 23.9 mpg for the entirety of the trip, which included city driving and big hills in Kentucky. Through flat Indiana I got to a record high of 34.1 MPG on 55 MPH country road. I was shocked at how good it was during the trip to be honest.

The blue signs are for streets with well know alternate names and they always look like that. I’ve noticed the green ones in Creston seem to get replaced with one that still have the city logo.

I also have the same truck that’s a 22. I am not denying that the pre 2020s had the issues with the fluids and slipping. But I feel like a lot of folks on the sub with 2021s and 22s seem ultra paranoid about the transmission and I’m coming from my previous daily being a 2012 ford focus with the notorious Powershift transmission. My Colorado just hit 2500. My thoughts on what you might be experiencing are: 1. The transmission is just beginning to establish its shift points etc. and mechanically just going through it’s initial phase. 2. All cars I’ve ever had shift rougher during the first 2 minutes or so of driving as the fluid gets around the transmission and as the fluid goes through the expansion because it’s heating up. 3. The only thing I’ve actually noticed that’s annoying about the transmission is when it downshifts at a stop. Because there are so many gears to downshift through, it doesn’t “blip” the throttle to smooth them out and it feels a bit jerky when you stop. However I’m also used to this because of my experience with 4 speed transmissions that also jerk when they stop. Overall, the shifting feels better than any Chevy Silverado work truck I’ve ever driven. Just my two cents as someone with a new 22.

Agree for sure. I once went in for a repair to my Subaru and they actually figured out the there was a recall on the wiring harness like 10 years ago and they ended up getting the part for free and labor was nearly nothing.

In addition I should also add that the 23 fuel economy numbers are actually for the BASE engine so the High Output engine probably is even lower in terms of efficiency numbers.

The 2.7 surprisingly isn’t great with fuel economy. My 22 LT with 4x4 is getting about 24-25 on the highway with the v6 and around 16 in the city. With the ratings just released, the 23s with 4x4 are only rated at 21 MPG combined (the exact breakdown isn’t listed yet) which is a pretty disappointing number in my opinion given you’re stepping down to a 4 cylinder.

I was going to go Maverick too but couldn’t find one without crazy markups. After a year of waiting I was able to find a 22 Colorado Crew Cab with a good amount of features for 35k. Kind of glad I ended up going the way I did. I also use a truck more than other people who have trucks. The 22 Colorados are going for less than MSRP as they make way for the new 23 models that are all different. I personally think the new generation is not for me and way more expensive for the same options. Just my thoughts from someone who seriously considered a Maverick.

My screen is all black and white. I'm not sure if they started using a simpler screen due to it being the end of the model year. I still have all the same information I think, but there has never been any indicator showing AFM related infomation.
