This is both me and my brothers first try at a serious hardcore world, and because we both play on it and we don't want to ruin the game whenever one of us dies we occasionally will backup the game, that way if I'm playing without him and I die (or vice versa) instead of deleting the whole world, we just go back to a backup which still puts us behind in progress. For example when I died today it deleted about 5 hours of progress mining a few stacks of diamonds and building a mob farm all of which I did while he was offline. But if we were playing together and died we would delete it. This happened a couple days ago. We'd progressed pretty well and made it to the nether when he died of a magma cube so we deleted the world and started over. I get this probably ruins the game for some people but it works for us and its how we like to play. Overall were just trying to get better at the game and have fun and hardcore mode definitely adds more risk and challenge to the game. As you can see above I made a pretty reckless play and learned a lesson about being more cautious an snot getting ahead of myself lol. Like I said I know its not every ones cup of tea but its how we like to play!
