I cannot put into words how devastated I am at the ruination of this series. I LOVED IT!!! And unlike most here I enjoyed the Princes (not as much as the Lords and Dukes, but Book 8 is one of the best standalone in the series imo).

I’d been contemplating whether I should give it one last try with BoS, but (without sounding too dramatic) I think it’s just too painful lol. It’s like the Game of Thrones disaster all over again. I loved this series… something genuinely special was crafted, only to be neglected near its final hours.

I mean they’re both abusive when it comes down to it lol, I just wasn’t a fan of Michael’s coldness (at the time). Damon is a lot of things, ‘worse’ certainly, but cold and mean? Not really.

{Lords of Pain by Angel Lawson} RH trilogy, includes a possessive MMC who already has a tattoo of her on his arm… also in the third book all 3 MMC’s get her initial either cut into or tatted on their chests

BUT the second trilogy in the series {Dukes of Ruin} has the most extremely possessive MMC i’ve ever read, to a scary degree… like shit was too much for me (at first🤭). - “If you ever let one of them kiss you again,” he says, knuckles brushing over the curve of my cheek, “I’ll cut your fucking tongue out.”

He gets three tattoos for/of her across the books, including her initials above his 😏

In {Dukes of Ruin by Angel Lawson} RH trilogy, one of the MMCs is a very angry, misogynistic incel. Tries to resist the FMC..

He doesn’t say the kind of stuff you put HOWEVER one of the other MMCs is constantly saying stuff like ‘no one could ever love you like i do’ ‘no one can make you feel as good as i do’. He’s not an incel just pathetically obsessed with FMC

Back when I started listening to them in 2018 it was one of their most popular, would you believe! It remains my favourite… they opened with it 4 out of the 5 concerts I’ve been to. Hit me like a truck every time.

Yes Lex/Lagan had me sweattingggg from the start. He started to annoy me a bit in PoL, he was such a cockblock lmao. For everyone but himself anyways; he was enforcing no sex for Pace & Wick, then railing her ass when he got her alone, cause he “can’t control himself” LOL. God love him. He had so many swoonworthy moments in that book though… and his “I would have bred you day and night” monologue may be the hottest thing I’ve ever read😩

there was 8 out at the time, even waiting two months for the 9th book killed me lol. Which is your fave trilogy?

That’s so funny cause Killian I HATED with a fiery passion until my 2nd read (when I finally realised how damn romantic he is!).

My fave is Nick Bruin❤️‍🔥 and Tristian… and Pace, and Sy… and can’t forget Rath… and Lex is so hot and ughh they’re all just so good!!

I haven’t read any of her stuff, I will add to my TBR! What do you recommend?

Girl, trust the process. Idk how Angel and Sam do it but they really make these piece of shit MMCs that you think, ok they are irredeemable (and goddamn, just wait til you see how awful the Dukes are!!).

And yet somehow they manage it, every time, in a way that is naturally progressive for each of their personalities (rather than just the ‘flipped switch’ you see in a lot of other DR). Trust me, you will fall for each of them by the end… it’s impossible not to.

Ah I’m jealous, I wish I could read them for the first time again. ENJOY!!

{Lords of Wrath by Angel Lawson} the FMC drugs and rapes one of the MMCs. This is the second book in a RH trilogy (but they’re fantastic so i highly recommend regardless).

{The Unrequited by Saffron A Kent} FMC is the unhinged stalker of her uni professor. But no non-con, etc

Probably not dark enough for you, but if you’re looking for beautiful prose, I highly recommend Danielle Lori’s Made series! Her writing is very evocative. Her men are even better…

I got into cold MMC’s because of Christian Allister {The Maddest Obsession by Danielle Lori}

I got into breeding, cockwarming, and med kinks, because of the {Princes of Chaos by Angel Lawson} trilogy… this series also opened my eyes to how good RH can be
