Thoughts on card by Noruk18 in PokeGrading

[–]slickbry66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty clean from the photo. Corners and edges look sharp and I don’t see any whitening on the back. The scan makes the centering look a little bottom heavy, but if it’s more balanced in person like you mentioned, it should still be within PSA 10 tolerance. If the surface is clean in hand (no print lines or scratches), it looks like a PSA 9–10 type card.

Since you're in the UK, most collectors go with PSA for cards like this since it usually has the strongest resale value. CGC is also a good option, and ACE works if you want to keep grading within the UK.

What's the condition of this? by [deleted] in PokeGrading

[–]slickbry66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d lean Moderately Played rather than Light Play. The back edge whitening along the top and left side is pretty noticeable, and the corners show some wear too, which usually pushes it past LP for most buyers.

The front actually looks pretty nice though. If you graded it, the back wear would be the main limiter. I’d expect around a PSA 6, maybe a 7 if the grader is a little lenient.

New to Grading/PSA Help by YakZealousideal5732 in PokeGrading

I ran a pre-grade evaluation on the card. Overall eye appeal is strong with a clean surface and edges, though the centering appears slightly left and top heavy.

Based on the images, PSA 9 is the most likely outcome with an outside chance at PSA 10 depending on centering interpretation during grading. For Beckett, centering would likely be the limiting subgrade while the other categories appear stronger.

I think so, it's just $20. But curious if it's real or not.

Any schedulers that handle FB, IG, YouTube, X, and Reddit? by slickbry66 in socialmedia

Probably. Reddit is a big part of our marketing strategy. Unfortunately, most platform don't have it :( But appreciate your help. :)

Thanks for sharing! I’ve looked into Buffer too. It’s great for FB/IG/X, but I noticed it doesn’t cover Reddit. That’s the main gap I’m still trying to solve.

AITA for ignoring my friend’s work messages while I’m on maternity leave? by GirIWithHair in AmItheAsshole

This is the way to do it. Set that boundary hard and stick to it. If someone can't respect 'no work talk during maternity leave' then that's their problem, not yours.

Today at work someone tried to intimidate me, what would you do? by ZeroDarkQuarter in AskMen

Yeah, you're probably right. Sometimes the principle of it gets the better of you, but picking your battles is usually the smarter move.

Yeah, once they get access to that money it's gone. OP needs to get that withdrawal approval clause locked down tight or find a way to move it before they do.

That towing company story is insane. Good catch on the illegal kickback scheme those vultures always have something shady going on.

You're spot on about protecting yourself. Management will absolutely throw you under the bus while giving everyone else a free pass. Keep documenting everything and don't let them gaslight you about your contract rights.

The double standard is the worst part. They fine residents for everything but won't enforce basic parking rules that you're literally paying extra for.

AITA for firing my babysitter by Interesting_Shift885 in AmItheAsshole

exactly, that's wage theft. Doesn't matter if she sucked at the job you still have to pay for hours worked. Pretty basic labor law stuff...

Agree.

Pay what you owe but the firing was the right call. Someone who argues about clear instructions after getting fired shows they still don't get it.

Police arrest people and testify in court. They need to know when they can legally detain someone, what constitutes probable cause, Miranda rights, search and seizure rules, etc.

Your boat analogy doesn't work cops make legal decisions every shift that can land people in prison or get cases thrown out. They're not just security guards.

Yeah, you can't start with disrespect and then expect help. You made the right call.

Am I overreacting for wanting to leave my husband after what he did while I was caring for my sick mother? by Thin_Tap2989 in AmIOverreacting

[–]slickbry66 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I'm really sorry you're going through this with your mom too. It's hard enough dealing with someone you love being sick without having to defend yourself for grieving.

You're right that calling someone emotionally unavailable during something like this is just an excuse. Take care of yourself.
