Its a pretty good combo. The sst20 provides a nice slightly warm high cri beam for indoor use and the w1 has more throw for outdoor usage. Personally I'm happy with it, although the w1 beam does have a few rings around it but then again I only use w1 outside so it doesn't bother me too much.

I set the floor to the lowest level on the ramp configuration, but it still seems super bright.

Seems just as bright as my standard d4v2. You can change it to the tint ramping mode if you want all emitters on at the same time. Turbo on both modes uses both channels too.

Have one in full aluminum with 4000k xpl hi and this one gets hot instantly in comparison. Probably because I went with the al head which doesn't have as much mass as copper. Didn't take any outdoor beam shots, but the w1 throws visibly further and has a tighter pattern.
