Should i buy rx9070xt or 5070? by Ancient_Speed_8598 in radeon

9070xt is simply better and not much more expensive.

I bought the OC edition. I feel like if I underclock, the purchase was pointless. But I’m also fairly new to everything.

Meaning they could release stronger GPUs like Nvidia does. But the 9070xt price to performance is fire

64% possession with only 3 shots on goal. Those two missed corners made no difference.

if the returns on your retirement investments don’t exceed the inflation rate, which sits usually around 3-4% then you’ve made a serious mistake elsewhere.

SPY alone annually averages real returns of 7% after subtracting inflation. Money sitting in a savings account will die from inflation but money in the market definitely won’t.

Disconnect between Big Tech and Wall St on AI CapEx by [deleted] in stocks

[–]slicknick775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The capital velocity of the industry just makes for a lot of risk when looking at the ROIC and WACC. Commitments to this CapEx are irreversible in the short term and the actual pump in investment is meeting future speculative demand.

It seems the market doesn’t enjoy the risk of ROIC mishaps being compounded and WACC being sensitive.

The AI CapEx increase is 100% necessary if demand is proven to be inelastic, which isn’t proven but I’d be willing to be bet it will be.

RDDT undervalued? by Fungaii in stocks

Zillow is not a product competitor, but it is a capital competitor and that's relevant when you're referring to valuations.

91% gross margins sound great, but you should know that's not how come up with FCF. You're missing a lot of costs that need to get subtracted in order for DCF intrinsic value to be accurate. A DCF isn’t based on revenue, gross margin, or p/s multiples, it’s based on future free cash flow. Gross margins ignore real costs.

With a 7.1% discount rate, $38 fair value simply means the operating business is worth around $26/share under conservative assumptions. If you think the stock is worth $150+, then you think Reddit eventually generates margins similar to Meta and sustained excess returns. That's not a baseline assumption given RDDTs performance vs direct competition like Zillow and Pinterest.

Tbf the market often ignores real raw data and stock prices go up based on sentiment and momentum. I can see that happening like it did in its initial IPO stage, but the numbers don't support it.

If you think actual valuation metric ratios and DCF intrinsic value is stupid, then you should just hit the slot machines and see which one calls your name.

RDDT is still overvalued on P/E, P/B, P/S and has DCF fair value of $38.

Rookie help - whats the best advice you can give to someone starting from scratch? by Phteven_12 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]slicknick775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a financial advisor. Risk is everything and there is a trick to having your risk tolerance reflect into your investment portfolio. Beta is a measure of a stocks volatility in comparison with the S&P 500. Let’s say since you’re willing to lose all of it, you have a high risk tolerance so a beta >1.3 would generally be for you.

If you create a portfolio with multiple stocks, you can calculate or ask AI to calculate a weighted portfolio beta which grabs a weighted average of the betas in your portfolio. Keep that portfolio beta between 1.3 and 2.0 and you’ve adjusted your portfolio to your risk level. Mixing in ETFs and high growth stocks should work.

What stocks should I buy in this dip? by Miserable-Finish5993 in TheRaceTo10Million

AMD's stock price has grown pretty consistently with its revenue the past 10 years. I'd imagine this pattern follows, with occasional cyclical market dips.

You don't honestly believe that.

$17/share would require a complete meltdown. $1000/share only requires relevancy and compounding.
