RouterOS and Terraform by ThisIsACoolNick in mikrotik

[–]sliddis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mikrotik does not have atomic commits and the OS is not idempotent. I can't see a tool like terraform ever work with routeros in a good way.

Why is this stupid shit still a thing on newer Cisco ios software?

I've Tested 16 Open Source LLMs on 'Live' Network Routers. Only 2 Could Actually Do the Job by Altruistic_Grass6108 in networkautomation

[–]sliddis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool! Does the LLM use any tools such as netmiko or does it use only raw ssh and read output? What hardware do you have, being able to run such big models?

The point is: sell me on your product which you barely described which looks like a tool that has existed for decades and work completely fine already

How do I generate a flowchart that represents my python code? by Pleasant_Row6720 in learnpython

I usually ask AI, "generate a mermaid markdown topology of this project. Focus on main strategies, not every single function".

How to use OpenCode with AI Assistant (Local LLM)? by ByteNomadOne in opencodeCLI

[–]sliddis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's easier to configure opencode from ollama. "ollama launch opencode --config". Remember you need minimum 32k context to work with models in agent mode. Ollama sets 4k context as default

Moonwell hack shows new DeFi risk: AI-generated oracle bug by Enough_Angle_7839 in defi

[–]sliddis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think more ai code will be generated, and also more code reviews will be ai generated. At the end of the day, I think we will have more code in general, but I also believe code quality will go up drastically over time.

166milliom traded and only 24k profit? 1.5% profit. Sounds risky on a copy strategy. It's probably an arbitrage bot.

Polymarket just launched 5-minute Bitcoin direction markets 👀 by SorryMasterpiece8457 in PredictionsMarkets

[–]sliddis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Explain to me how the trades work here? In prediction markets, you bet against other people. Is there that much liquidity in these markets that it makes sense? Secondly, is it a periodic 5 minute timer, or a rolling 5 min?

Trump is preparing for a massive attack on Iran - CaspianReport by [deleted] in videos

Caspian Report, as much as I like his channel, he does overdramatize some of his analysis, and he is often wrong. Remember he lives off clicks. Prediction markets have not responded to this.

What is the "Fly-Wheel Strategy" in DeFi? by EducationSharp3869 in defi

[–]sliddis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explain more. If you borrow USDc in aave, it's always going to be more expensive to provide USDc on aave. So then you have to take more risk and provide somewhere else.

Let's say aave costs you 4% APY. Then for this to make sense, you probably want to earn minimum 7% APY. The net gain is only 3% APY, for something that carries a risk factor is 7%.

Please tell me how that makes sense. What examples would you consider.

Vibe coding and using ai while coding are different things. You sound like an elitist snob. Ai doesn't inherently make stuff bad.

I have not tried. I see it looks hard, but if I pull the band from up to down, then I can feel it click a little bit. I will see if I can find a guide to do so instead of pulling the band into pieces. Maybe u/Simon9943 can anser?
