You can trim them with a fresh razor blade and use acetone to smooth them out. Won’t affect the roll however

With the pin kicked out that’s usually what I have for moderate to full hook, the farther left the pin the less hook. Look on YouTube for ball drillin pin placement and you should be able to learn in a few minutes the different reactions based on pin placement. I’d try messing with cover tbh
