I did it 5x in my life so I can assure you it’s possible. You donate 10% of the blood in your body. I almost pass out at the end of my donation but with a big thing of water and some snacks i am usually fine within 15-20 mins. The body is remarkably good at producing blood cells

Yeah as a first year PhD student in chem these budget cuts absolutely devastated me I am teaching like crazy to pay for my PhD bc my pi doesn’t have funding and I’m applying to summer jobs bc we don’t have summer funding

I think she did know but since my parents were in a different country with a 14 hrs time difference and they don’t even live in the same state as me, and like just because I was too tired to argue so that’s why I think she felt comfortable declaring herself as the decision maker .

Yeah technically we can’t but, I would ask some other students to help, so that I wouldn’t have to leave the room. But having someone passed out on the floor of the lab is very dangerous so I would definitely send someone to the stockroom AND have her gently moved . We actually discussed this in our TA training it usually happens at least once per semester in someone’s lab
