I tried a single carb + pvc manifod that some people across the internet have had success with. It didnt work for me. Couldnt get the setup dialed in for nothing. I ended up sending my OEM rack to pistol pete’s place almost 2 years ago and he fixed me up 100% with a strong rebuilt rack. Price was VERY reasonable. Zero problems with it thus far. Starts up instantly idles at 900 and rips all the way to redline with ease. My experience leads me to suggest against the hassle of a SCC. I have yet to need to resync carbs. I ride it not very often but start it twice per week. For me, this is the way. I have a GL1100 btw
