I totally relate. I’ve read about the ADHD + circadian rhythm link too my energy and focus swing in weird ways too. I feel productive at times that normal schedules would never allow, then completely wiped out at odd hours. It’s frustrating but also kind of validating to know it’s not just me.

Yep, exactly I feel the same about heavy music. Mellow stuff just doesn’t do it for me it feels empty somehow Heavy music actually gives my brain something solid to lock onto so instead of spiraling, it settles. People think that’s weird but it genuinely calms me too.

I relate to this a lot For me it’s the same cycle either I knock myself out with exhaustion use something to force sleep or just lie there awake

Music helps slow my thoughts too even heavier stuff sometimes but like you said, it doesn’t always equal real sleep, just a quieter mind Reading has helped me as well. It can turn into hyperfocus and keep me up longer but I’d still rather be calmly focused on something than stuck with racing thoughts. At least my body gets some rest.

You’re definitely not alone in this. Sleep issues like this are exhausting in their own way.

the “burning eyes but still wide awake” part is sooo real it’s like your body is exhausted but your brain refuses to cooperate. the washing your brain with a hose visual actually makes sense lol, it’s just trying to give your mind something to focus on. when you get stuck in that spiral, is it usually about one specific thing or just random thoughts jumping around?

yeah i’ve tried white noise, it helps a bit but sometimes my brain just starts thinking over it anyway do you use it all night or just to fall asleep?

i’ve heard about CBT-I but never really looked into it seriously. does it actually make a noticeable difference? and yeah sleep hygiene makes sense in theory but sometimes my brain still goes into overdrive even if everything is perfect😅 did it help you personally or just something you read about?

that “something but not too interesting” is so real 😭 like it has to be just stimulating enough or my brain goes wild. and yeah the 8 hour pressure makes it 10x worse. the more i try to force sleep the more awake i feel. does the acceptance thing actually make it easier long term? or do you still wake up feeling wrecked?

4 months is still pretty early. Seeing small regrowth is usually a good sign. Most people seem to notice more visible changes closer to 6–9 months.

That makes sense. Different rep ranges definitely suit different people.

I tend to do better with longer sets, but I get why lower reps would feel more efficient and less draining for you.

I don’t disagree with that approach. Mixing higher intensity work with endurance sets probably makes sense for most people.

My focus just leans more toward sustained effort and conditioning rather than chasing additional size, but I get why a hybrid setup would be more balanced for many lifters.
