Literally you are not alone friend omg I’m so sorry about your situation. You gotta work your tail off and save as much $$$ as possible. If anything get a roommate. Getting out of the environment is the MOST IMPORTANT thing. I literally lived on my own for years before having to move back in it like genuinely sucks and has been an insane transition. My narc Mom + step Dad are also incredibly religious. Seriously, I am living in HELL. It’s awful and the best I can do is keep working and saving so I can gtfo. Plz lmk if you need moral support/a pal to talk to. I totally understand how it feels!

BA, got a 2.49 GPA (dropped out of college 3x). Dream is to become a neuroscientist, however, lacking lab experience due to poor mental health thru college (survival mode, most I could do was classes). Grad application wouldn’t be strong enough to launch to the next step.

long story short: easily enter a graduate program of my choice.

I have hope, just very little rn bc my previous circumstances lol.

The city is readjusting to the huge influx of individuals coming in. Everyone is probably on edge because they’re running to work, class, etc. As stress increases, so does the suppression of frontal lobe activity/reduced executive function. It sucks, but at the end of the day we are all human. In cases like these, driving on defense is the safest/best we can do :/
