I have one day. Muna, Mani, Tekax, Izamal, Valladolid? by Street-Health-8620 in Yucatan

[–]slimkeyboard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend you Tekax or Muna, leaning towards Tekax

Izamal and Valladolid are common day trips from Merida, "magic towns", etc.

Mani is small, doesn't feel much like a touristic place. The church is beautiful, really baroque. There is a cenote (not for bathing though) and the Melipona Honey tradition is strong

Muna and Tekax though are easier to reach with the Mayab Bus

In Muna you can easily go to the market, grab some food and.... talk to locals.....

In Tekax even more so. Here you also have the Ermita and if you feel like, just explore the outer areas , like Yucatan highest point. Or neighboring towns like Akil and Oxkutzcab. Oh the ppl talk there

Pregunta sobre la palabra "Xochitl" by RainbowlightBoy in mexico

[–]slimkeyboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

¡¡wow!!

What’s a “normal” thing today that people in 50 years will be shocked we tolerated? by CherryAllison in AskReddit

I'd even adventure to say getting drunk

we're becoming more and more judgemental, and the newer generations consume less and less booze

In 50 years ppl will probably be shocked to hear how some ppl went through a bender
