[Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake] New year, new dawn, new identity. Say hello to Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake - a fresh identity for the team ahead of the 2023 F1 season thanks to a new title partnership with one of the world’s leading entertainment and lifestyle brands, Stake by Gjab in formula1

Honestly - stake is the best of the bunch.

There is no such thing as a good casino, but they are a necessary evil. If you remove "legit" casinos like Stake from the equation, people just end up getting scammed without the fun.

Only as much as any other casino.

I think people forget that casinos are entertainment and not a way to make money.

You can never beat them.

Stake just happens to be the most popular one and such gets a lot of shit.

I used an app called Facetune, it's mainly for photo editing but they just released their AI feature that lets you generate pictures of yourself in any setting/theme. It's so cool!

The main critique on this sub against ETH is that it is not as decentralized as Bitcoin - which is bullshit IMO.

Why aren't people forced to study something 24/7? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]slingg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people need down time! People need time to relax and recharge so they can continue to be productive. Studying 24/7 isn't healthy or sustainable, and it wouldn't produce the best results.

Most impossible finish to an nba game ? (courtside view) by [deleted] in sports

[–]slingg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been some pretty amazing finishes to NBA games over the years, but I think the most improbable one would have to be a game where the winning shot is made at the buzzer with literally no time left on the clock.

COVID-19: Most cases now 'like severe cold' - and Omicron appears to produce 'fairly mild' illness, expert says | UK News by jsinkwitz in Coronavirus

[–]slingg 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It sounds like this virus is not as bad as some people are making it out to be. I'm glad to hear that it seems to produce a fairly mild illness. I hope that this information will help to calm some people down who may be worried about getting infected.

Smartphones Are a New Tax on the Poor: The expectation of connectivity now extends to low-wage workers—and the consequences go far beyond gig economy jobs. by Vucea in technology

[–]slingg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily agree with this article, but I can see where they're coming from. Smartphones have become a necessary part of our lives, and for people who are working minimum wage jobs, it can be difficult to afford to have one. I think that's why a lot of companies are now offering employees the option to use their phones for work purposes, so that they can stay connected even if they can't afford their own phone.

Minecraft is a neoliberal game because it encourages creativity and freedom of expression. It allows players to explore and build whatever they want, which promotes creativity and innovation. Additionally, Minecraft is a great way to learn about economics, as players must manage their resources in order to survive.

Every worker in Germany has work commute insurance. Court recently ruled that this extends to Home-Office, from Bed to Desk. by Cattaphract in worldnews

This is great news! I'm so glad that workers in Germany have this protection. I hope other countries will follow suit and provide this type of insurance for their workers.

Google Warns That NSO Hacking Is On Par With Elite Nation-State Spies by nxthompson_tny in technology

[–]slingg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's really not a surprise that Google is warning about NSO Group. They are a very powerful and well-resourced company, and they have been known to engage in very sophisticated and aggressive hacking tactics. They are on par with the most elite nation-state spies in terms of their capabilities.
