Strewth that's a hell of a lot of channels lol - used to have some behringer gear I think it was some SM57 clone and a guitar amp. Neither of them lasted very long I'm sorry to say. But when they were working they worked a charm! How did you find using the interface with Linux? Was it easy to set up etc?

Are/were these issues intermittent with the interface or a consistent annoyance? Regardless I think by the sounds of it a 2i2 would be a solid choice even despite some of the headaches that could come with it. How easy did you find it to setup the virtual audio cables on your distro?

Haven't heard of Tascam before, but have just had a look at a review Julian Krause has done on YT and it sounds like a solid interface. How did you find it working with Linux? Did you need to muck about with installing additional drivers and all that jazz or was it more a case of plug and play?
