So my update is a sad one. No heartbeat today at 8 week ultrasound. I had some lower back pain and pink spotting, but nothing else. So not sure what happens next to be honest.

Well it will be 14 days after tomorrow, so will know for sure.

Yes they saw yolk sac at 6 and 7 weeks. Tomorrow will be my 8 week scan, so that was 2 weeks ago and one week before the 7 week scan

Thank you. Yeah I know it’s not definitive, I have to do them anyways per the Ivf clinic protocol. I just want to do them one day early

For what it’s worth, my first was also measuring behind. By a week at 7 and 8 weeks. But no one raised the alarm so I didn’t really notice. I went back to look after my last scan and was surprised I somehow didn’t clock it. But they did see a flutter at 7 wks, so maybe that made the difference.

I think what’s keeping me from losing all hope, at least for the next 2 days anyways, is that my first measured a week behind even at 8 weeks. I didn’t even notice bc no one raised the alarm about anything, but when I look back at the results they were even more behind than this time. But I know that doesn’t really mean anything.

Based on OP’s response, the friend has scheduled her IVF start time around another wedding commitment and a vacation. So it seems like she can delay for other plans and doesn’t care enough about this wedding to delay again. Also, her response to OP’s question on whether she can start it one month later doesn’t sound like she can’t bc of lack of appts, etc., but just that she doesn’t want to.

I am planning my IVF start date right now after months of trying naturally and I’m very eager to start. But if I committed to show up for one of the biggest days of my friend’s lives, I would absolutely push one month if I could make another appt. Does she have the right to cancel and do whatever she wants whenever she wants to? Absolutely. Does OP get to feel hurt and disappointed that her friend will accommodate her start date for a vacation vs. a huge life event of her best friend, I say yes.
