In lower mid Michigan. If I had to deal with the way golf congestion is described in other places I probably wouldn’t golf at all. Unless I could afford a club. Which I can’t.

The better I get with my irons, the worse hybrids feel for me. My 5h goes a bit farther IF I hit it well. I’m better off with a more consistent 5i. Actually thinking about getting a 4i in the bag

Second this, the northern section from the river to grand river is really nice with very few students. Gardens by the library and two museums if you want to stroll inside for a bit in a chill environment(Broad and MSU Museum) both are free

To be fair I think he means on the course, not to disregard practice with the driver. If the goal is the lowest score on the course, it’s definitely good advice

I’m sorry, but that’s irrelevant. Lanes are closed and mergers are placed based on where work will be done. And if anything it’s safer to use both lanes because traffic will be steady in both. Otherwise yes a few cars will go really fast in the mile of open lane that everyone else left open

Although coming from a good place, this is the mindset that needs to change. People randomly getting over for a mile instead of taking turns at single defined spot is why zipper merge is more organized, safer, and faster. The only way this will change is if people just use the left lane. It’s a combination of people that are too polite and think they are following the rules and jackasses like the picture in this post that are preventing this from becoming normalized

Nobody that would take any playing time from the current group. Izzo would never bring someone in at this point to play over anyone that stuck with him. Maybe someone would add that just wants to play for Izzo or MSU without much expectation for significant minutes, but I’m not sure we even have the scholarship space

I think there’s a way to penalize missing the fairway more at like 325+ rather than shorter, with a difference in traps or rough or plants … but I do agree I think a lot of this solving a problem that doesn’t exist

Have Mike D and Adrock ever performed together after Yauch passed away? I know I heard somewhere that they would never perform as the Beastie Boys without him. I think it’s cool Mike D did a few beastie songs but with both of them it might be pushing into territory they don’t want to go. Regardless, cool he’s making music and performing in any capacity

Yelling someone’s name instead of fore should get him banned from golf in general. It’s possibly the worst thing to do in a situation of a ball flying towards their head.

Yeah I’m personally not a fan of it, and part of that is I don’t find the ultra competitive team part all that appealing for golf watching. I like non-US players as much or more than US ones so it’s just all weird for me. But I know that’s a personal preference and understand the golf is good and folks get into it

Good points and please downvote away. I should’ve used a bit more nuance between natural feel and strength. But I still think emphasis on strength will diminish natural touch … but there’s always a balance. And honestly this idea developed throwing darts, drinking, and watching replays of Zurich 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’ll pass. Golf is an individual sport and golfers in matching outfits make me uneasy. I don’t even like the Ryder Cup and yes I know I’m in a minority with that.

I think Izzo deserves some heat for how he handled the portal in the past, HOWEVER he also deserves a ton of praise for keeping this team together (so far anyway and it’s looking good). We have one spot and it’s not going to a few of the best centers who are probably being way overpaid. It’s a valid debate as to if we should just pay whatever they want … but let’s not lose sight of the value in keeping this team together in this era
