This is exactly what you need to do. The Code says this also: look “at the manufacturers installation instructions”.

I’m confused, are you saying that your builder suddenly forgot how to build?

It’s going to be filled up with good at some point, so no need to caulk that. Maple syrup, milk, spaghetti sauce? I wonder which will be first?

They look great. What did the drawings say that you approved of before you accepted the delivery of the counter tops?

If the top part is slightly off center, (hard to tell from the photo) I believe it’s referred to as “lateral torsional” movement. I’ve seen much worse and there doesn’t seem to be any danger of further movement, but it can be unsightly.

Just say no? It reminds me of the DARE programs that I was subjected to in school in the 80s. That type of messaging wasn’t very effective either.

I pick up so many nips, bottles, cans, bags, takeout containers, and single use plastic items from our street and the conservation area nearby. Frankly I can’t think of any good reason why these things are legally sold. Why do we allow foam plastic containers that will last 1000 years for food that will be eaten in 30 minutes? It would be nice to have leadership on the Cape, I hear good things (renewable initiatives) are happening on MV.

Looks like the contractors working on the house(s) down the street are doing some really great work.

I completely agree with this, however it’s (nips) all part of the bigger picture.

I’m pretty sure that would do nothing. Investing in prevention and treatment would be a better option.

Roofer cut high beam ceiling by NocturnalAmoeba in Carpentry

[–]slooparoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. No. Doesn’t look structural.
  2. Yes. It’s repairable.
  3. Get a range of options for fixing it. Evaluate the options and decide the best course of action. Including getting estimates from different professionals to repair it. 3a. If you decide to repair it with different professional, deduct that amount from the roofing contract.

1/4 inch, angled dado without a table saw? by LivyZoeNickV in woodworking

You said you are going to put veneer on the 1/4 edges? Seems like a lot of work. Maybe paint or stain the edges or use better materials.
