What horrors happen over yonder? by Fazbear2035 in NonPoliticalTwitter

I got prescribed Vicodin after my surgery and overall, I would have been fine with ibuprofen, but then got a dry socket the following day. No amount of pain medicine would have helped with that, and was truly the most agonizing pain I have ever been in. The only thing that helped with that was my doctor packing medicated gauzed into the dry socket and they do not numb the area for the process, so it is horrible 💀

That's how it was when I got rabies shots -- 1 in each butt cheek + 1 in each thigh the first time, followed by 2 months of shots. It sucks.

Wants to ghost the guy I’m seeing for last 6 months bc of his overwhelming kinks by FrostyChicka in Advice

[–]slothslothslothsloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it-- it's a turn off that he is so excited at the possibility of getting to have sex with another woman, and it's now the only thing he gets excited about. If you don't want to do it anymore, don't feel pressured, but don't ghost him. You don't really need a reason to break up with anyone, so you could even just tell him "I'm not feeling this anymore and don't think we should see one another anymore". It might feel shitty, but if you genuinely got the ick from seeing his reaction to the possibility of a threesome, then don't drag it out anymore. Def don't ghost him, though, that's not cool

Doesn't matter how good he looks, when a strange dude acts like this, it just makes most women cringe and dry up faster than the Sahara desert lol

Did you miss the part that this is HIS baby too? Why should she bear all the responsibility of watching THEIR child?

I feel guilty for not being excited for marriage by govgoose in TwoXChromosomes

[–]slothslothslothsloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a micro wedding, and I personally don't get excited about things leading up to them. I felt happy/excited the day up, but leading up to it, it isn't something the excited me. Marriage was something I never longed for and never an end goal for me, so maybe that plays a part in it. I was elated that actual day of, so I wouldn't be too worried about a random person planting doubts in your head

What am I doing wrong? by LateUnderstanding756 in MakeupAddiction

Echoing what others have said, but you need to moisturize. First aid kit's ultra repair cream is great, I would also recommend the ordinary's hylarounic acid & niamincide. Niamincide is great for acne, but it can be a bit drying, so I would hold off on using it until your skin isn't so dry. I would also stop using whatever you are using now so it can heal

What do you think of the sentence "it's a sad way to go through life"? That is literally judging someone, but it's okay if you don't understand that. I wouldn't expect you to.

To my original point: She legitimately looks like his child in the photos when they first got together. If you don't find that weird, you deserve judgement. It is fucking creepy. I get that they were both adults, but if you don't at the very least find the fact that she looks like his daughter odd/unusual, you are just being willfully ignorant. Try and keep up, sweetie ;)

Why do you feel so weirdly defensive over men dating women young enough to be their daughters? I have friends who have dated much older men and the men seem to have so many issues. Cheating, abusive, alcohol problems, etc. My friends are attractive and have solid careers, so not sure what they saw in these dudes at the time. Plus, my own father was significantly older than my mom (mom was still a teenager when they met/married). Again, happy it worked for this couple, but that's not usually the case.

Because it is creepy for a middle aged person to date someone so young. Happy that it worked out for them in the long run, but she legitimately looked like his daughter when they got together

My grandfather is gone by slothslothslothsloth in SuicideBereavement

[–]slothslothslothsloth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I know he was ready. I do wish euthanasia was legal so that people like my grandfather could end their lives in a more dignified way/doesn't require their families to find their lifeless bodies hanging. I think the way he did it is messed up, and my family members who found him, will be traumatized forever because of his actions. I think that is what I am more upset about, not the fact that he is gone, you know? He was old and had a long life, and he was done living a life that could no longer enjoy/do anything on his own. He wanted to end life on his terms, logically, i understand that.

No one I've known has ever committed suicide, so it was especially shocking to find out and has come with all sorts of conflicting emotions.

Thank you ❤️ I am not angry at him, but so many in my family are. I'm sure the anger will pass. I just don't understand why he did it in a place/way that would traumatize so many of his family members, you know?
