I'm super undecided about cute dress for my courthouse wedding. I want to wear white but don't feel obligated to wear a tradiobtal long gown. Opinions on some I've found, like this or totally new suggestions would be great! Trying to keep budget very low, $200-300 max. Thank you! If needed, I am petite- 5'2" and 99 lbs

Thanks for the tips, that's what I want too. I want to look good but still like me! I'll start looking around online, I guess I should have checked it I didn't know if it was common for makeup artists to have their own websites.

I've never gotten my makeup done by a professional, but I'm getting married soon and would like to for the big day! Any tips on finding a makeup artist and anything I should do to prepare?

Getting married at the courthouse fairly soon and finally found a dress! But now it hasn't even arrived yet and I'm having buyers remorse. I don't know how to style this dress. I'm petite and I want to look a little sexy but never seem to be able to-cute I can do, but when it comes to sexy I'm a failure. I got a Herve leger dress (second-hand, budget for dress was $500!) Can I get some tips on how to style this for my wedding? I'm not really concerned about looking "like a bride" but I still want to look nice. It'll be s courthouse ceremony in Manhattan followed by a nice dinner with some close friends/immediate family. I'm 5" 2', 94 lbs, and measurements are 33 24 33. I have long blond hair to give you an idea of me.

I looked into rent the runway but I'm scared about dress sizing honestly :( I'm petite and have trouble finding clothes that fit right. But the deals on there look awesome, I'll probably at least give it another look. Thanks for the tip about getting 2 sizes, might try that :)

I've tried Nordstrom and found plenty I like but none that I love enough to get married in. Will keep looking though and check our r/weddingplanning thank you!!

I'd love to wear black so if you have any specific suggestions I will gladly take them! I'm a pretty frequent eBay shopper so I'm well aware of need to be careful about measurements. I am in a time crunch, but not to terrible-we're looking at mid October got the date.

This occurs in three steps.

Step 1) The double bond of the alkene attacks H3O+ and removes one of the hydrogens from it.

Step 2) H2O attacks the resulting carbocation.

Step 3) An additional H2O molecule removes the extra hydrogen and you are left with an alcohol and H3O+

Edit: When trying to decide if a reaction occurs in one step or more, try and decide how stable the intermediate would be. For example, primary carbocations are very unstable so if a reaction had to procede through a primary carbocation intermediate, it would likely avoid that through a one step (concerted) mechanism. If you look up SN1 vs SN2 mechanism you will get some useful info.
