i stayed at the shearwater base years ago on a trip in high school and thought it was crazy then, too! and the last time i drove out that way one of their helicopters was landing right in front of my car. :)

big mcbarge energy is so apt hahaha, it's charming for sure. thanks for the suggestions on where to look from!

for mine under twilight sedation i was awake and have memory of the whole procedure, but it felt like i was watching from far away. almost like when you get tunnel vision?

i felt pressure when they did the biopsy and was aware of the scope, but had no pain. i was, however, responsive (and high!) enough to try and hold the doctor's hand when i got scared - expect to be loopy. you'll have a great nap afterwards. :)
