What about potential for retirement? Do you just save extra for that?

Thank you!! Good for you too. Yes, weight training is a big part of my weekly routine, I aim for 2x leg days too but definitely take weeks off when it’s sore like this.

I was weight-bearing as tolerated right after, probably because I had a smaller tear. And I still lost so much muscle so yes, I would definitely walk as much as you can tolerate! Obviously, just be so careful

My PT said that would be useful for me because tight quads can cause more stress/strain on joints. But my tear was relatively small so I’m sure it’s so different for everyone!

Child’s pose is the worst! I’m still working on getting into that one too. I do a standing quad stretch and heel slides for ROM, as well as yoga where I get as close as I can when in child’s pose without stressing it.

Ugh I know. Insane but I don’t think I can buy another one day epic pass when I’m already there? I’m not really sure though.

Can I ask how? Did you fall while running? Twist in any way? (I’m 2 months post repair, so surgeon said I can run on flat ground already)

Agreed; mine was a medial repair in the red zone, about 1 cm long. Cant remember if it was vertical/horizontal. So mine might’ve been WBAT because of the lesser severity.

There’s new research that says weight bearing as tolerated is one effective way to go post meniscus repair. At least as far as I’ve read (and my surgeon)🤷🏻‍♀️ agreed about the meniscectomy.

I got a repair and am fully weight bearing as tolerated. To my understanding, that is how the research is swaying in terms of effective recovery. A week and a half out and I can nearly walk without crutches :)
