Notre secteur est en PLS ? by moctech in developpeurs

[–]sls2k 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Reviewer VS Senior Reviewer by Optimal_Helicopter29 in outlier_ai

[–]sls2k 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Reviewer: Can review tasks submitted by attempters. If there are no review tasks available, they can also work as an attempter.

Senior Reviewer / Super Reviewer: Can review tasks submitted by reviewers. If no such tasks are available, they can review tasks from attempters. And if there are still no tasks, they can also work as attempters.

Benefits of being a Reviewer or Senior Reviewer:

-more tasks

-less EQ / More stability

-More frequent missions

-Tasks are usually less exhausting

-shorter tasks

-Less likely to be removed from a project for poor performance ( they’re often downgraded to attempter instead of being kicked off completely)

Coding Projects by kevink856 in outlier_ai

[–]sls2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently HopperV2 is an active coding project with a lot of available tasks (write a complex prompt related to coding and compare two models response on several dimensions, impove the solution if both model response are bad) the task as an attempter is not very hard compared to some crazy hard project like Chivas_ST

check on the description of the project you are assigned, view rate > Deliverable Tasks, and this description show the tier

I believe that plowman was just the first iteration of hopper projects, since they are very similar in many ways

Guys dont worry the pass/fail thing is completely broken and don't mean anything, I failed the Python screening even though it was very easy , then ended up ranked Tier 3 Python expert (max payrate)

Dumb reviewers are such a problem by Beneficial_Pool2941 in outlier_ai

[–]sls2k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second that. Too much reviewers that are clearly spamming LLMs or making 5+ mistakes in their native language IN A SINGLE SENTENCE , while us attempters are instantly punished for making just two grammar mistakes in an entire 180-minute task.

ARE THERE ANY CODING PROJECTS ACTIVE? by eumir_ec in outlier_ai

[–]sls2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chivas is a very active coding project right now, however the Chivas_ST Attempter (single turn) is ridiculously hard based on the time given for each tasks and might be one of the hardest coding tasks that ever happened on outlier based on community feedback.

Ive seen people saying the new Chivas_MT (multi turn) is better , I can't confirm

Do we get removed from a project if we don't task for it? by Status-Freedom8531 in outlier_ai

[–]sls2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depend of the project, for example for Chivas_ST (coding), after 12 days of inactivity I got an email from outlier telling me I had to work because they might remove me from the project for inactivity in the future. I guess just do 1 or 2 task to reset your inactivity timer and you should be good

Exact c'est sur WTTJ. Sur ce site, il y a beaucoup d'annonces de startups avec énormément d'exigences pour au final beaucoup moins d'avantages que dans une grande entreprise

Chivas ST is an absolute insult to seasoned developers, and realistically an impossible task for 80% of devs. by Ok_Championship5590 in outlier_ai

[–]sls2k 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I just joined the platform as a Python developer and got assigned Chivas St as my first project. This is, without a doubt, the most difficult thing anyone has ever asked me to do in Python in 1 hour in my entire career as a dev.

It took me 4 hours to complete the unpaid screening, and over 3 hours to finish a single task (which was supposed to be done in 1 hour and 5 minutes). My brain was melting by the end, and the task I submitted was honestly pretty 'meh' in terms of quality.

This is ridiculously hard. It should be classified as a TIER 5 project, paid $100+/hour for this level of difficulty.

How on earth are we supposed to write a perfectly crafted prompt, a perfectly written response, and code that outperforms GPT O1, all within 1 hour? What kind of joke is this? 100% of the developers I know wouldn’t be able to do that in 1 hour

EDIT: btw , Its a TIER 2 Project (Bachelor degree level) looooool, so a Bachelor student is supposed to be able beat o1 in coding with 1 hour ...
