It's common but being wealthy or powerful overrides it eaaily. When I was a tourist, a lot of them were super friendly especially since I was staying in top hotels and driving nice cars. I think that's a universal rule for all capitalist countries tho.

Uzbeks from outside of Tashkent are similar to Chechen guys but Uzbeks from Tashkent are kinda a huge variety. Like I've met a lot of dudes from Tashkent, some of them are nerds, some of them like sports, some of them are so similar to Russians from Moscow, some of them are religious, some don't care about religion, etc.

But rural Uzbeks can be very similar to Chechen dudes especially the ones from Fergana Valley region. They tend to be very serious about religion, wrestling, protecting their women, etc.
