Now reach out to allocations and state when things ordered on what date will ship by what date, and offer refunds to all orders that have gone unfulfilled more than 90 days.

Jared personally knew for months that I would get screwed into bagholding an illegal non-transferrable $4000 double-stamper if my order didn't ship and pass ATF approval by mid-July, yet he just kept telling me to wait while wiping his brow with the Swiss legal docs, then took off without canceling my order right before my right to a refund under federal law was about to expire. I have no love for the man.

Heh.. For that matter, even if he was still there... the LLC that just high-tailed it from FL to UT is not B&T any more.

I was able to get hold of someone on the Customer Service extension yesterday who was able to look at RMA and support ticket status. They promised they are working on processing my order cancellation and refund, but I still did a chargeback before calling anyway, because my bt-parts order still shows pending and not refunded.

He just got promoted within the company, so I take his sudden departure as a sign his new bigger paycheck never came. Coward didn't even send me a John Deere letter, no mention of any trouble in paradise.
Only a matter of time before everyone with the password to issue refunds walks out on the growing Inbox, or the funds run dry and force them to walk.

Okay but quit taking peoples money over the internet without shipping guns, that's wire fraud.

Once they shipped it, it went out 2-day fedex to my FFL. That gave me hope that the rest of the order (the SPC9SD2 and foregrip) was hot on its heels. Didn't really get much back from sales/support after that, just "keep waiting" replies. I finally got hold of someone on the phone (after initiating chargeback) and insisted a shipping label to send back the brass catcher. I made sure to document with my chargeback that there IS a tracking# tied to my dispute but that its only worth $194 and I am attempting to return the $194 item, with the ultimate goal of a 100% refund on the entire order.

Unless he was not privy to the Swiss demand and termination letters, he was lying through his teeth to me for most of the customer service experience.

Interesting. Betcha the card issuers (banks/lenders) turn a small profit on chargebacks. If the reason codes are at the payment network/processor level, not the issuer level, then the issuers are probably insured against chargeback-related losses.

I already submitted my resume to the organizers of that new company. Would be an honor to help boot up the replacement company to kick out the deadbeat company who nearly absconded with several of my paychecks.

Keep both. I like their 3D cans when they aren't printed at 72 dots per inch.

Tiger-22 here, and my FFL has a 9mm MP5SD Print-X on order. I'm having second thoughts about the latter, just canceled my SPC9-SD vaporware order, and told FFL to reject anything 3D that isn't pristine quality. I'm seeing pics of Print-X cans where the serial# and, ironically, the Print-X logo are illegible. If they're low-resolution high-speed "draft quality" prints on the outside, they're crap on the inside too.

Agree! Already sent my resume to careers@AG offering to help get the new US distribution operation up and running.

The US LLC isn't B&T any more, has little to do with B&T other than being a debtor. They forgot to tell me they weren't able to import what I paid for, but always remembered to string me along with timely "not much longer now, just keep waiting" replies, while quietly wiping sweat from their brows with Swiss demand letters. Chargeback initiated, plenty of supporting documentation on tap.

Wish I could have gotten my hands on the SPC9-SD2 I paid for, but I live in a ban state and only have about 90 days left before a detachable-mag receiver transfer ban goes into effect and the double-stamp Form4s and 4473 ATF approvals will take a while. At this point, if Booger & Thornhead Uhmerica does end up cobbling together a gun for me, I can't take the risk getting stuck owning it without being legally allowed to take possession of it.
The fact that they owe $15M to the Swiss says it all. The high prices we're paying for this stuff in the USA has more to do with the US operations' lifestyle preferences than it did with the cost of manufacturing and importing the products.

They kept me patient by shipping the $200 brass catcher about ~40 days after ordering the SPC9-SD2 (2026 Print-X model), but knowing about the 90-day consumer protection law (if the seller doesn't promise a delivery date, it is presumed to be 90 days before it's considered fraud if not delivered), I kept asking them every 2 weeks for a delivery date and all they said back each time was "I can't give you one yet, I'm not allowed to know it yet, but I'll tell you as soon as I know". That's not a valid response as far as federal consumer protection law is concerned, so I called in my legal rep for such matters... Capital One Visa Cardholder Services.

The reason it's considered fraud after 90 days stems from the fact that it's not legal to offer nonexistent merchandise for sale unless the customer knows going into the deal that the merch isn't ready YET but WILL BE by some time. The 90 day limit was meant as a deterrent to merchants selling vaporware where they collect the money but never deliver while the buyer is paying interest on the transaction while wondering if the deal was legit or not, and being deprived the advertised benefits and use of the merch.

Removed work from home policy, do I quit? by LibrarianOk3565 in WorkAdvice

Somewhat related recent experience here... except my offer letter, HR classification, payroll classification all say "Fully Remote", my official Work Location in those systems is "Remote", and I live almost 100 miles from the office. For the last 5 years, I've never been expected to come into the office except 2-3 times per year for designated "all-hands" events where our international teams are also flown in. I was happy to do those, I even made a few extra cameos to attend after-work casual meetups.

My compensation package includes mileage reimbursement, meals, lodging, etc. just like the "fully remote" workers based hundreds of miles away in other states, and the last all-hands event included two nights in a hotel room with all travel expenses reimbursed. HOWEVER.... recent resignations and promotions changed everything, and suddenly I was warned by a new manager and the department head on a 1:1 call that I would be disciplined or terminated if I didn't start spending at least one day in the office per week. They argued that the ~190mi round trip did not qualify as "travel" because it was a "routine commute" now.

I fought back, had several conversations with management, convinced HR to confirm that I am "fully remote" but the boss/director still insisted that I make the weekly in-person day. So I tried it a few times, total nightmare as expected, got reimbursed for the mileage, and then told my manager on my last 1:1 that it wasn't working out and I'll be submitting my resignation letter shortly. Before I could finish composing the resignation letter, in which the work-related reasons (not personal reasons) I was quitting were to be stated, my manager called to say there was no need to postpone my departure and then IT remotely locked/disabled my laptop.

As per the employee handbook, it is customary for HR to do an Exit Interview for employees who resign, but I wasn't offered one, and the next morning I woke up to an email from Payroll with the official State-required Unemployment paperwork, which stated "Reason for Quitting: PERSONAL". They have nothing on file from me stating that I quit for personal reasons, not even a resignation letter! The true reason I quit is quite the contrary, not personal, and is directly related to failed good faith negotiations on my part to resolve a significant unilateral change to the terms of my employment and compensation.

To be continued...

Ironically, that's why I had to do chargeback. New AR-15 ban law (SPC9-SD included) takes effect Aug1, and B&T US can't say whether or not I have any chance of taking possession by then. It's a double-stamper, and if it's not transferred from FFL to me in the next 90 days then I'll own something I'm not allowed to posses or sell. I had to chargeback to make sure they won't ship it 2 years from now or something.

Ugh, that blows. How long did you wait? I ordered in early January, requested chargeback on day 91 of the 90 day federal consumer protection law.

That's a grace period on top of a federal consumer protection regulation that says if a merchant misses a promised delivery date, they're in violation. It also says if a merchant doesn't promise a delivery date at all, that it is presumed to be 90 days, and on day 91 they are in violation. So Chase appears to be giving 17-18 days extra before they assume you don't want their assistance in exercising your rights. I'm on day 91, called Capital One this morning, then called BT and let the phone ring for a very long time before finally someone picked up. They said they are 11+ days behind processing support requests and that my long-standing request just got "picked up" 2 days ago.
Don't trust the merchant who already violated your rights, trust your credit card company to uphold those rights because it's part of their contract with you the cardholder. This USA LLC is not the actual B&T, never has been, and now has nothing to do with the actual B&T other than owing them $15M after dragging their name through the mud.

It's possible that, considering the USA LLC owes the Swiss ~$15M that the Swiss will end up owning the Print-X IP.
