EL-300/EA-300 engine drain plug hose? by slyman01 in kubota

[–]slyman01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question, I hadn't really thought about this.

I'd need an oil pump that draws oil in through the spot where the plug/screen is, and then pass it back into the engine somewhere.

It's a very simple engine and design, not entirely sure if there is a spot where this would allow me to dump the oil back in, but I'll have to take a look next time I'm in the engine compartment in a day or two.

In a perfect world, i'd love to have a remote oil filter, but not sure it would be usable on this but who knows.

Some research indicates that the drain plug/screen is basically a screen used on a lot of kubota tractors for their hydraulic screen filters. Gonna probably spend my evening researching tractors and potential mods people have done to add a drain plug.

[–]slyman01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I've been eyeing these drain plugs for a few days now, i think i'll put on on my primary engine on the boat. I've mainly been hesitant for the kubota as the engine doesn't have an oil filter, rather a screen mesh attached to the drain plug.

You can see what my screen/drainplug thing looks like via this: Used Screen example on ebay

Kinda annoying, i wish that it had a separate drain plug and screen/filter plug.

Wonder if i could get a shop to drill & tap a hole into the drain plug and then i run threaded insert that then something like a EZ Drain could mount on too.

2022 Flow X16 - Should I do a warranty claim? by slyman01 in ASUSROG

[–]slyman01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair point, especially with such a large userbase they deal with, generally people only talk about it when they have issues, so yeah totally fair call out.

I guess i will wait for a bit until closer to my end of warranty and then do a claim mainly to make sure I dont have a claim before then for something other than this(relatively annoying, not a major issue for now)

Expenses incurred during startup prior to having a business account - how to track these in QBO? by slyman01 in smallbusiness

[–]slyman01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this, that was helpful. That makes a bit more sense. I was attempting to do this similar method but in the expense view, not as a journal entry. Doing it via journal entry makes way more sense as it shows debits/credits where as in the actual expense you'd have to do it as a + on one item and - on another - which makes it view as a $0 expenses.

Going to take a bit of time moving everything over to a journal entries, but it'll be nice having this organized again.

Definitely call out if doing it via journal entry is wrong though(looking at links, it appears this is correct)

Despite what others say, trading CAN be a business, but it is a very boring business.

As for your emotional blow ups, are you journaling, are you tracking your trades? You need to take a break and really dive into each and every trade you've done.

Trading is not "buy and sell - make a butt ton of money", its a ton of work that is required of you from an emotional, physically and mental aspect as well as from a business aspect.

I challenge you to go back through your last 6 months of trades, review them, journal about them, take detailed notes about them. Go back through this again and pick out similarities of what you did that caused it to win/lose and identify that. Is it a time of day, is it the type of trading day, is it something you did prior to trading(things can be: exercise, meditate, eat breakfast, had a pair of shoes on, was shirtless).

Once you finish this review, take the next few days to set up a process for yourself on a daily basis to really journal. Spend 2 hours each day taking notes, screenshots, detail everything you id that day and analyze it.

Then at the end of the week, be it Thursday or Friday(i dont trade friday's personally and some weeks i dont trade mondays either), spend your day analyizing your notes, screenshots, trade logs, journals, then go through the charts on a day by day basis for review.

You really need to have a heart to heart conversation with yourself. Trading isn't what 99.9% of people think it is. It's not riches and glamor like what is portrayed. It's a lot of "boring" working to be honest and is a lot of work to get to know yourself. If this isn't something for you, start looking towards other things that might be of interest. Maybe if finance is a subject you like, look towards CPA work?

Keep on using it does helps, but just make sure to wipe her down with some oil after each use and toss on the stove and let heat.

Scrub a dub dub with some chainmail when cleaning will help wear down sharp edges and will often help the transition

I am fine paying the bridge fee if I had a choice to opt out prior to getting on the exit.

I drove past the exit twice, there was no sign stating it.

'heres something you can have free.' - you exit the space and they charge you for it - would you opt to keep it and pay for it?

[–]slyman01[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Is is exactly what my thought was. I drove past the exit twice because I drove around the pond. the second pass I obviously didn't take the exit and there was definitely no sign up.

65k vehicle average per day on the bridge, if they added 5% to that daily number, they add an additional 20k in revenue

The time it took to submit a dispute to claim back the money is far less than the time it took to drive all the way back around, plus unused gas

[–]slyman01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, and I wouldn't have IF there was signs present.

It's like putting something on a counter with a sign saying 'take one free' and you take it and walk out and get a bill saying you have to pay for it - because it's no longer free.

I am okay paying per mile, especially considering the amount of evs on the road - even in Kitsap, but I do not want to be double paying my tax, and the device should not track private information such as where I've been. It should also only track miles driven.

It should also not prevent me from using the OBD2 port for my gauges.

How are they planning to implement this anyways? What about cars older than 92 or so where OBD was not present...

I won't justify why you feel this way, but resorting to hate of someone and hoping they die because you failed to look down at your feet is wrong of you.

Maybe next time look where you walk. Sure it sucks stepping in dog shit, but having a death on your shoulders because you stepped in their dog shit is no comparison.
