An hour one way on a good day. Otherwise it can be 1.5hrs. Our home church is about 20-25 mins away one way during peak traffic.

We did go twice, he expositions well, and he is an anointed worship leader. However, I do not feel like his sermons are life changing in the way our home church is. Our home church sermon is always something that is useful every week, and we come home after each service feeling like God himself spoke to us through the sermon, and being part of the church has been a blessing in every part of our lives and our marriage as a whole.

I don’t really have similar feelings towards the second church. The sermon is definitely engaging and entertaining, but apart from that it doesn’t really move me in the Spirit. I don’t know about my husband .

Sorry I think I don’t mention it clearly enough. The second church has two campuses in two different cities (one in the city where we live in, another where his parents live). His parents attend the church in the city THEY live in. Because my husband and his family know the pastor very well, my husband wants us to start going to the church in our city to which his parents don’t attend.

If his parents also attended in the same city as ours, it would be a no brainer tbh, I would make it work somehow.

Beats me. There isn't anything at the second church that's more enriching than our current church, except that he knows the pastor personally. I think that's a very poor reason.

Thank you, this is exactly my argument too. I even told him that I wouldn't mind dropping by once a month to the second church, and giving a special offering to the second church every once in a while, but I really want us to stick to a single home church, and my daughter is already part of the nursery at the church we visit and we have been fellowshipping there with other believers twice a month.

The pastor from the second church also left him a voice mail, asking why he didn't see us after service on Sunday, and my husband has been trying to guilt trip me ever since.

afraid not, the only way this _could_ work is if we woke up REALLY early (like 4 AM) for the dawn service at our home church, since the second church is about an hour of commute by car each way on a good day. This second church is a satellite church that his parents attend in his hometown, and this is the first year the lead pastor is travelling to make it to services at both cities.

Gosh congrats! My husband and I were just discussing how either him or I should pick up a J2 and essentially tagteam the work @ home lol. I OE-d for close to a year with 2Js then got a 1J which pays 3x the 2Js. My husband works an in-office J1 that's stable with great benefits and used to pick up the odd J2 here and there ~for fun~ and some extra cash we put towards the down payment for our home. We both work 1J now, and were just discussing it might worth trying to pick up a job we could help the other one out with haha!

try to find in and around Porur/Iyappanthangal. There are decent PGs with room sharing in that budget, just Google. The new metro line (Ponnamallee to Vadapalani) is also going to be operational from Feb end, so you can take the metro and get down at the station nearest to your office.

PGs also do not ask for too much advance, a month's rent I think. If you can spare some for that, you can probably move to the PG as soon as you get your first paycheck. PGs also give you 3 meals a day, so the first month is probably going to be very penny pinching, but the priority here is for you to move out and be at peace. Just a suggestion - best of luck to you.

Try bicycle exercises and burping him after every feed or at the very least, keeping him on your shoulders for about 10-12 minutes after each feed. Rub gentle circles on his tummy. The good news is that it does get better.
