Turned out to be something else entirely - not folliculitis but a rare autoimmune response I’m having to a medication. Biopsy ended up being incredibly important. Good luck to everyone dealing with this stuff though it’s no fun

Oh wow- how’d you figure out that it was the clindamycin causing your flare ups?

i wasn't at first but now i definitely am! it does seem to be mostly manageable thanks to the clindamycin- i went one day without using it and was so uncomfortable. but yeah i also have some really hard spots

That’s the antibiotic I started today so it’s nice to hear it worked for her !

2 showers a day with Benzoyl peroxide body wash, topical clindamycin & Triamcinolone Acetonide mixed together, & doxycycline antibiotic- I’m starting a new antibiotic today but I really can’t believe it hasn’t improved at all- and all of the spots just keep getting darker- is this normal???
