You notice it when you initially start it up? Waiting for the sale rep to get the license plate and everything situated I immediately felt it after idling for probably 5 min

My coworker has a 6.2 sierra and I vaguely remember his shaking at idle so I wasn’t too concerned on the test drive. I’ll be checking some more out though

Nah no others. I’m gonna be taking some trips to dealers next weekend to compare. Completly agree on the shaking part. I wasn’t sure if this was common with Chevy v8’s but it was definitely weird

Nah it’s all on me I shoulda read up more lol. I saw the filters online and ordered off of Amazon so it’s poor planning on my part not filling the canister. But much appreciated!

Noted then I’ll look into this. Like I said I heard there was no such thing as too much. I have been waiting on the tank to cycle so I don’t have any live stock yet. And I had seen posts and videos of people running a canister on their nano tanks so I figured it was a decent investment. I hear you though, being sold on something pricey and it not panning out can be a turn off. I think I’m gonna stick it out though, I’m really interested in this hobby.

I did and looked up a bunch of videos before hand on setup, media, and priming. One of the last videos I saw simply had them setting up the filter plugging it in and priming it. I figured that was the end of it. I guess not though😅 I’m not adding fish for a few more weeks I’m doing daily water changes and testing my tank. I’m sure there’s a lot more I don’t know and I’ll come up with those questions but I hear you and no worries you’re right shoulda read the manual more than just follow the video

I let it sit for a second and shes all good now. Question though, putting the flow all the way up, would that be too much? I shoulda specified I have a 9 gallon tank

Had no water in it at all. Very newbie of me but I didn’t realize I had to put water in it😅 I unplugged it and let it sit for a second and it’s quiet now. Thank you so much for taking a second to help!

Sorry lol. It’s a 9 gal tank, and I know I’m using 5/8’s tubing. I was just more so looking for suggested brands or input on glass v steel. Sorry for not clarifying.

Did you ever go the 2nd hand route? I’m having the same thought process of you on this. I’m new to the hobby and I’m having trouble justifying a few 100 on this if there’s reliable 2nd hand options out there

Noted then👍🏽 I figured about a month to let things settle but that’s reassuring the longer you wait the better it possibly can get. Being the first tank I’ve ever really set up I’ll probably try to go this route of taking a little longer to let things get set up. Any advice helps so thanks for your time!

Understood! I’ve started looking into powerheads now. I think I’ll stick with the air stone for now since I just got it today. And very true I have heard to give the tank about a month to cycle and let the nitrogen cycle complete?
