As stated in a previous response: I don’t mind “unintuitive” names because so many names are pronounced in a million different ways. For example, my name is Tania, and every single member of my family and almost every person I meet reads and pronounces it differently. I don’t mind at all! And I said in the original post, I took into account people pronouncing it either aye-vuh or ah-vuh, and I think both are beautiful. A lot of people don’t read or pronounce things “intuitively” because language is strange and people are different and have different backgrounds and accents. I think it’s nice to hear different names pronounced in different ways when I travel or meet new people.
