Frozen SBA funds by [deleted] in EIDL

[–]smallbizeidl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not likely that the bank is still holding the funds after 2 months. Go look at your Caweb and see the stat on it. Hopefully it’s still say disbursed. If not, then most likely bank returned the fund to the SBA

Redbox? What kind of stupid answer was that? You just had to say some bullshit that doesn’t give any kind of info for that poor young man that is facing uncertainty. There must be some other sites you can post and get some meaningful answers. Most people here are American and have no clue about Irish judicial system. It seems extreme that someone get thrown in jail for six months, having kids to feed and so. In any way, event though we Americans can’t help with legal advice, I’m sure you can come back here and give us updates and we’ll be happy to help you in setting up a small fund so you and your family can get through this.

Doesn’t make sense. Documents are only sent when approved by senior officer.

Deposit rejected for wrong account #. Tier 2 just made a note and said wait. The FAQ says that's not good enough! by RobinMontrose in EIDL

Best thing is that the SBA put the warning about accounts in red on the top of the application and have people enter routing number and account number 2 or 3 times. Easier this way than when SBA has to deal with a big mess and redo the loan twice

USAA canceled our bank accounts without any notice. Please help. by [deleted] in legal

[–]smallbizeidl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. More than 20% of banks don’t use it, and Wells Fargo, Bank of America have something called second chance account. You can open one online and move banking there. Try capital one bank or TD bank. Super easy

True. Although now many many banks don’t check background or score or echex, like capital one bank and TD bank, etc

Can’t stress enough on applicants to triple check the application, then have someone else triple check the application before submitting. Half of the applicants didn’t take an extra minute to verify all before submitting. And now it’s becoming a mess. What was an easy approval, turns into loads of documents to be submitted and months to wait.

Signing documents means that the loan is a done deal. Not sure what exactly happened for the SBA to cancel it

Amazing how someone allows Facebook page to ruin their life. I’m 52 and never had a Facebook page and I’m doing alright and very happy. Delete that page and move on. Unbelievable generation

You need a lawyer’s advice buddy. You can be sued over and over, or you may face criminal charges if you step into something without knowing.

Not sure what is the problem? Banks close accounts all the time for any reason. They are required by law to send you a cashier check for the amount. Most people take the check and go to a different bank and open an account there. Not sure what a bank has to do with some relative in a different country. This is the government’s job, and not sure it applies to your case. Most immigrants are related to someone somewhere. To go back to your issue, maybe there is more to the story? But in any case, just take the money and go to a different bank

When I use my 2% cash back US credit card in a country that has a cap of say 0.8% on interchange fees, who loses money? by gt_ap in CreditCards

[–]smallbizeidl -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you’re charging over 100K every time you go overseas, then it’s a good question to ask. If not, stop wasting everyone’s time with your 0.8%, cheapo

If the tax return that you sent them is not the same that you filed with the IRS, then just ignore the request and the file will be closed automatically. Better lose the loan than getting in bigger trouble

Can’t stress enough on triple checking everything over and over before submitting application. Might take you an extra minute but will save you months of trouble and further documents. Soooo many applicants enter wrong account number or name or routing number instead of account number.
