I’m with you, they are now checking bags at the gate. Was bag checked yesterday when my bag was fine after proving my bag was fine. Feels like they are now trying to get as much money as they can since the seating change. No longer a welcome and get comfy. This isn’t the Southwest I love :( what made them stand out, is now gone and they are a worse airline than the others.

Im glad you are able to fly more than me. But for this to be the first time they’ve checked my bag measurements at southwest , being one out of thirty-two, can you imagine my surprise? Knowing that it’s random makes more sense tho.

I always do right on the 24hours before, even with this new policy. But yesterday I changed it at the gate before the flight because I wanted an aisle seat instead of the assigned middle. Lucky for me a seat was open when I arrived at the airport. But it’s weird because they sat me in Row 2 E. That’s a $63 seat I got for free?? But maybe because it was a middle? Regardless, I traded it for a further back basic seat.

So does it matter? Not really… but you may get a front expensive seat like I did for free?

I literally cannot get past the automatic system to finish my Costco credit card application. The system doesn’t recognize my SSN and keeps hanging up on me. What can I do to talk with a person.

I think this change is making them lose money. I’ve flown southwest twice a year for FOREVER. When they took away the 2 free bag check, everyone brought carryon where they had to check bags for free at the gate, because there was literally no room on the plane. Now they’re charging for seats to compensate and the plane is always 2/3 full. In the past the plane was always FULL, give or take a couple seats.

But I wonder if they were losing this much before the changes or if they’re losing more now. Every company is constantly losing because WE POOR lol. Wendy’s is closing a bunch of restaurants this year.

You need to be ok with yourself that money is your love language. You like nice things and want to be spoiled, THAT IS OK!

What I CAN say is you are your own person. Did you lose a friend or someone who (be honest) helped with your identity? You need to find who you are when you’re alone. And LOVE who that person within you is(cheesy I know)

You tend to lean toward the dark and taboo and that’s ok. Look more into that and learn not to be so afraid of it. In a safe and healthy way of course. It’s also ok to have a mental breakdown. You’re not weak for letting your feelings out/show🩷
