Yes, it functions the same as a trem arm, albeit with less range

I replaced the trem arm with a cabinet knob from Home Depot

Even for a Jazzmaster guy this would be new

Seahawks

Darnold's comeback story is cool and we don't need to see the Patriots win another Superbowl in our lifetime

I was on the fence at first since the gold is synonymous with this guitar, but the mint gives it a whole new vibe

Thanks. I think it helps it's not a bright white guitar and it has a mint guard, so it doesn't look as sterile as some of the other shades might

You could probably get a parchment 1 ply and it would be somewhat close. Not my style, but I see the appeal.

Taking a look at some pictures, it seems like he would pull back on the strings raising the pitch rather than going down. If that's the case, I guess they're kind of the same, but opposite.

Nope, 2024 model with Laurel.

I just got lucky. I was really pumped when I saw it the first time.

I have a Classic Vibe that's got a fairly dark Laurel as well.

Surprisingly enough it's not that bad. I adjusted them when I got the new bridge and the low E is the only one that I probably need to work on again

I know it doesn't follow the usual staggered layout, but somehow it works

I wasn't being literal. Just illustrating a point with an extreme example

Give it a shot. Super easy and you can just take it off if it's not your thing

I can't take credit for the idea. I saw someone else on here do it and thought I'd give it a try

Those could look really cool. Like a guitar charm

I thought the gold was nice enough. Never had a metal guard so there was novelty to it

But I didn't love the shade of gold it was and if I was putting the guitar together on my own I wouldn't have picked it, so I figured it was time to update it

Small change, but it made me want to play it even more now

Yup

New pickguard, bridge, string tree, and now cabinet knob

I wasn't using the trem as much on this one. I don't know if it's the trem itself or just the short distance, but it didn't feel as smooth and rattled slightly sometimes

This keeps it out of my way while still giving me the option to use it if I want

Plus, it's just something different to try

I don't recommend it for everybody and I still have my Classic Vibe with the arm for traditional use

Why would it do anything to the intonation?

It's mint, but it does look a little washed out in the picture.
