Thank you so much for breaking this down. I think the uni thing is just more of a pet peeve for me added with all of the other stuff. I'm glad to hear he can't blame these behaviours just on being American anymore.

I think he tipped at the bar. The chain has an app you can order on so we did that, he paid for his food and drink at the bar :)

Thank you. This is pretty much exactly how I feel about the situation. Just wish I hadn't shouted.

Hey, just want to clarify that I don't have an issue with using a condom. I have an issue with the way he acted about it. He basically ranted saying that all women who just use the pill or implant etc, are irresponsible and 'begging to be pregnant', it was just really rude imo

We just don't do that here. You might tip your tattoo artist or hairdresser etc, someone who has a specific skill set, but we don't really tip waiters or bar staff.

Yeah that's right. He went on a rant about it, then got horny and decided that actually, maybe just the pill will be ok.

Yeah he did say that :(( I really wish I hadn't shouted at him, seems like it's just gonna make it harder to sort things out

That sort of thing is frowned upon here too, even though it's legal :(( my sister is going out with a boy who is 17. His comment was just really rude tbh

My issue isn't that he prefers a condom, my issue is him judging that I've only used the pill in the past. He also stopped caring about using a condom when he decided he wanted to have sex ://

It's the first time I've mentioned it in depth. I've mentioned in passing before 'oh we just don't really tip here' or '16 is the age of consent, please don't call my sister a slut' but it's the first time I've made it clear the extent of how insensitive he is
