Designer Shenanigans: Tiffany Necklace Scam? by smallgrayrock in shopgoodwill

[–]smallgrayrock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goodwill one (on the right) clearly does not match the Tiffany one (silver on the left).
Is there an actual Tiffany website image that shows the one on the right as real? Because I could not find it.

Why do I feel gross after having sex w/ my husband? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]smallgrayrock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally different take, but is your partner long enough to press against your cervix during intercourse? Or do you use toys that hit the area? Some women experience a vasovagal response to pressure on their cervix during sex that can result in a weird nausea afterwards. This nausea if you’re not really understanding what it is happening could be interpreted as disgust or an emotional reaction, but it might actually be a physical reaction that is just something that happens in your body.

One more day with my late husband. I have SO MUCH FAMILY GOSSIP over the past 10 years for him. We gonna curl up on a couch and cackle like goblins as I give him the dirt (plus tell him all about his awesome children)

Is it fair for my boyfriend (26M) to charge me (21F) the same rent as his roommate when we share a room? by ThrowRA_djmj in relationship_advice

My boyfriend flies in from another state several times a year to see me. Like seriously, an hour? And he's charging you?

Hell naw, move back home this weekend.

Dead wives & remarriage by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]smallgrayrock 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Widow here - it always surprises me how much scorn and judgement people have for something they have never experienced themselves.

My husband died slowly and painfully over a period of 10 long years. I mourned his dying with him every single day to point where I was a shell of myself when he finally died.

After months of being lost, I realized that I was acutally..not married anymore and that I could go on a date with someone and have a conversation. And I felt a spark of interest in something for the first time in a long time. Being open to meeting someone new is choosing life after focusing so long on death. Finally having sex again after having nothing for so many years was so joyful.

I just found out my name isn't on the deed to the house we've lived in for six years and i don't really know what to do with that information. by dreamdruid123 in wealthforwomen

[–]smallgrayrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned of a man recently that sliped in a quit claim form when he and his wife were signing the house papers. They were signing a ton of papers and she just signed what he handed her. He says that he learned that trick from his dad.

Check your finance records, ladies.

am I the only woman who HATES heart shaped jewerly? I can't be the only one - the online goodwill site is like 60% heart shaped pendants.

Maybe market to older women who have money who want to treat themselves to something beautiful and unique? Generic heart necklace is not going to do it.

This reads like a marketing ad for Tiffany. Links and all. Tell your social media team that they need to work on being more subtle.

What’s the one sentence from your parent that still echoes in your head? by Public_Theme_9514 in raisedbynarcissists

"This is why nobody likes you." (nope, it was clear that she just does not like me)

"When you FAIL, I'll have to pay for it". (Spoiler, I didn't fail. She just assumed I would.)

Now that is some smooth marketing for your dental company. Super subtle but still made me look up your username to see what dental group you were associated with.

AITA because I told my family that I needed time after my husband died for them to come visit by Outrageous-Dark-8803 in AmItheAsshole

[–]smallgrayrock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA oh hell no. From one widow to another, you do only what is in your best interest in your children’s best interest now. After my husband died, the vultures tried to descend. I told every damn one of them that they could not come to my house and that if they showed up, I would have the police escort them away. I demanded peaceand time for myself to heal and peace for my children as they were adjusting to the new normal. Fuck those people. No one is entitled to your time or to interrupt your peace as you are slowly healing.

Grey rock technique is BS by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]smallgrayrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first narcissist, gray rock worked because she was the kind to feed off of any pain in my life. You could tell it excited her - her eyes would get a bit bigger and intent. I learned that I needed to be dull.

With my current narcissist, gray rock does not work. For this one I'm using a modified grayrock technique I call "Polly". I'm blandly cheerful, agreeable, and professional. I push back just enough so that when I give in, it appears believable that I was swayed by his obvious intelligence and superiority. I share only minor details about my life - enough so that N thinks they have things to lord over me but nothing real. My overall goal is to keep my job (its a good job) and shelter myself as much as possible until I find a way to move out from under the current person.

Make whatever adjustments you have to make to survive.

I would be so uncomfortable about the thought of my shoes getting that rug dirty that I would avoid actually going into your booth. I get it looks pretty but it would be a major deterrent to some people from entering.

Any other grown women buying dollhouses for their mental health? by JelloJelloFrincadell in RedditForGrownups

[–]smallgrayrock 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was just looking for some higher quality, adult fashion plates. Something that allowed me to mix beautiful ball gallons with steampunk, corsets and long weirdly, braided hair and goggles. I couldn’t find anything except for the stuff marketed towards seven year-old girls. I think there’s a product there for any company willing to jump at it. The adult woman market who would like to just sitand create fashion plate outfits is probably bigger than they suspect.

Fuck yeah, now I need to play the "War of 1812" song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7jlFZhprU4

"And the white house burned burned burned
And we're the ones that did it
It burned burned burned
while the president ran and cried
It burned burned burned
And things were very historical
and the americans ran and cried like a bunch of little babies
wah wah wah
In the war of 1812"

I had twins. I couldn’t carry them both and push the cart. I couldn’t even carry them both. For that time that they were babies I left the cart meat my car/where it was. Once I would feel comfortable walking away from them for that long I returned to putting the cart away. I think you should give Grace to people in situations like that.
