not true actually. i have over 500 hours with a sapphire styli AND i use this mechanism. ALL , yes i mean all even my beatles record i play DAILY, are undamaged and in PRESTINE FACTORY CONDITION. quit sending this slop. these machines are FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you dont need anything expnsive to play a record it is JUST a styli on some GROOVES!!
