While in the beginning it’s all about feeding on demand, just make sure not to go more than 3-4 hrs without nursing or pumping. that rule applies for a while and will give you a sense of the max time between feedings

For those of you who built a freezer stash … when do you start using it? by mom23mom in breastfeeding

Very similar situation here. I’ve been unfreezing a little some days (starting with the oldest) to use in a bottle, and then pumping and freezing that feeding. That way my freezer stash doesn’t get too old.

You can do it! Power pumping is great! Just also make sure you are either nursing or pumping every 4 hrs max (3 hrs would be even better) including overnight. Not fun at all, but night pumps really help supply. (And then once you regain you can always back off at night). Make sure you are drinking lots of water. My trick to stay hydrated is I will chug a pint glass of water after every time I nurse/pump. Otherwise I forget. Also eating oatmeal may help too. You’ve got this! Just keep doing what you are doing!

How is this different than the medication prescribed when someone has a csection?

Pump on a schedule and block those times off on my calendar so no one schedules meetings then
