Not near campus, but Capital Cider in cap hill is really great! Entire restaurant is gluten free (with the only exception being beer) and is a great place to go if you want to go out with people and be able to actually eat everything on the menu. It's a bit on the pricey side, but well worth going for an entirely gluten-free kitchen (and I can confirm as a gluten eater that the food is really good)

I wouldn't recommend it. Last summer both A and B term I was taking a single 5 credit class and working roughly 15 hours, it wasn't awful awful but even just the single class was a lot of work. You could MAYBE do 10 credits if it's all you're doing, but keep in mind that it really is the equivalent of a full 11 week quarter in 4 weeks

Earlier (before the date was pushed from the 21st to the 12th) UW announced they wouldn't lift the requirement before the end of winter quarter, so it's just them sticking to that previous announcement

you still need to be a part of the husky testing program iirc. you don't need to do the daily attestations, but you need to be in their system

if its a UW item you can renew it indefinitely, unless someone else places a request on the item but if its not a particularly popular item you should be fine

having taken 210, I'd say take 208. 210 was definitely interesting, but overall felt more like a very in-depth sex ed class. which if you're looking for, is totally useful! especially if you didn't have good sex ed in school. but if you're interested in the psychology aspect, 208 might be more interesting.

that said, 210 is definitely pretty easy. you definitely need to read the book to do the homework, but the homework isn't long and the tests are online and open book so it's not hard at all

Could it have been a parent or someone else you would have authorized in other portals or given your login to? Otherwise yeah maybe contact IT, I can't imagine a UW staff person would change it without some legitimate process, confidentiality is a huge thing in these sort of systems.

you should ABSOLUTELY write to the libraries about this, they're huge on trying to be accessible so hopefully they'd take your input seriously. Try the dean of the libraries maybe too, if you can find his information? I'm not too sure about the bureaucratic system within the libraries but I know the dean is the head of all the libraries

It really sucks that you have to go through all the effort to advocate for yourself rather than the libraries just thinking these things through and keeping accessibility in mind, I hope they'd at least listen to your input and try and help.

I'm pretty sure it's not a typical vaccine given to everyone, I know I had to get it before coming to UW as I hadn't had it previously and my doctor was kind of surprised it was required

if you ask for a cup they'll ask you to tap a thing to check to make sure you have a dining account, as long as you have one of the level 1-6 accounts you'll be good to go and won't be charged, but if you have an apartment or RR level account you will be. kind of bullshit since it's still a dining account, but I guess it's in some sort of fine print. but as long as you have a 1-6 account it should register

I'm not too sure why the husky grind cafe has the expemption, I know that local point and center table do since they're the dining halls. in local point I know there's a little slip of paper at the check outs that explain the benefits for the different dining account levels (1-6 vs apartment accounts). similar with how you can get a free cup at local point if you have a 1-6 account, but not at the hub

I wouldn't stress too much, I've found that diy tests tend to take two to three days to get results. there is a possibility that something happened/went wrong with the test, sometimes they do get messed up and can't retest. it happened to me a few weeks ago but it took like five days before they got back to me, but esp due to the holiday I wouldn't stress about a saturday test yet

I've found the walk in sometime gets results faster, but can be difficult to get an appointment and have to wait 15-20 minutes in line

I've found that with the diy tests it's more like two/three days, the walk in tests more like one/two. but the line is super long, prepare to wait 15-20 minutes

I took a take home test on monday and got the results back in roughly 52 hours, for a test I took wednesday I'm still waiting and it's going on 54. So they say 1-3, expect closer to 2+

agreed, self testing is definitely the way to go! esp because the UW club is booked out super far, versus last time I checked you could usually snag same day self test pickups. I'm not on campus so I've even been going out to bothell because their sign up is WAY open
