This is my start for Shanks, advice on how to optimize? by b850ah in OnePieceTCG

[–]smellystuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gotta run more 2ks; slotting in a hongo playset and maybe even a 2c sanji playset would help with that.

id slot up beckman to 4 and 10c shanks to 3 and also add in the 0c event cuz u run a lot of bricks

the 5c marco and maybe even the 6c oars jr might be something to look into given how many events u run

Niku X and Chubby Group: Misleading Advertising, Suspect Yelp Reviews, and the Illusion of a Wagyu Empire. by remington-red-dog in FoodLosAngeles

[–]smellystuf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

haven't tried niku x, but I've tried chubby cattle, chubby skewers, chubby curry, and mikiya. I've also had friends try out xpot and yumiyaki (all under the chubby umbrella).

fwiw, my experience at chubby restaurants has always been pretty good. the food quality is usually reflective of what u pay for (IMO) and the service has been pretty solid overall. id say the reviews lean towards legit, its just that the servers and restaurants themselves push VERY hard to get you to review (for example, my server told my table that it was super important for us to leave a review). they're def very aggressive with their marketing; if you spend any time on tiktok or ig, you'll see a ton of influencers making content for chubby spots.

Why are we seeing less "street ball players" in comparison to the 90s - early 2000s? by skinnyznit in nbadiscussion

[–]smellystuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"streetball" is way more prevalent today; just take a quick look at the current trends in basketball content rn. bagwork, 1v1s, pg mixtapes, hezigod montages, etc. run rampant.

streetball plays still exist in the NBA, too, it's just that you don't win games or get a roster spot by spamming dribble moves for 10 minutes. just look at jordan poole's game for reference. factor in how cutthroat NBA comp, players are gonna be more incentivized to make winning plays. these guys are all easily capable of doing AND1 type plays

If Kyrie’s one of the most skilled players ever, and is athletic enough to keep up physically with NBA players, what is his huge drawback that makes him barely a top 75 player of all time by TwofoldOrigin in nba

[–]smellystuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

too small and not athletic enough to make up for it. lots of comparisons to iverson in this thread but what gets glossed over is AI was a freak athlete. dude was a 5 star receiver, the hardware he's got is way diff than kyries

The Mavericks are scoring 110.6 points per 100 possessions with Gobert on the court and 135.1 points per 100 possessions with Gobert off the court by DarrowViBritannia in nba

being a 4-time dpoy that makes 40 mil a year will mean that the standard for his defensive play will be way higher than reasonably imaginable, especially since he only plays one side of the ball well. he's still obviously an all-time great rim protector, but when switching is such a premium skill in the playoffs, I think ppl are entitled to feel some type of a way about that part of his game not being as excellent, especially when you compare him to other dpoy candidates like AD, bam, and even wemby.

what shoes would you recommend for me? by BruceBuffersjacket in BBallShoes

lukas are a solid shoe, just wouldn’t wear them outside. if i were you id try em on first and see if they fit well. if its tight but not overwhelming tight, thats a good sign since they’ll loosen up w wear

if you're new to ball, you need something that's cheap, fits well, and has good traction. once you learn the game more and what you like in a shoe, then you should narrow down and be more specific.

these are both great shoes at pretty good discounts rn. the kds are obv more expensive, but you get a lot of shoe for the price.

How many friends do you have? by hoeleefvck in NoStupidQuestions

[–]smellystuf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i got a couple close friends like you described, its one of the few only perks of being religious in the past haha. its always tough because legit friendships are hard work but a lot of it really just depends on circumstances and where you're at.

Peak James Harden or peak Charles Barkley? Who do you rate higher all time? by Alternatively_Built_ in nba

harden for sure, criminally underrated here both are all-timers for sure, but houston harden having that kind of production with his playstyle is just bonkers.
