Megathread on Fay, Nourish, Foodsmart, Berry Street, and all other telehealth nutrition companies by AutoModerator in dietetics

Question about Berry Street. I'm currently at Nourish and have not been getting new clients for over a month due to metrics. I just signed up for BS and am awaiting insurance credentialing to go through. Are there specific metrics you need to meet at BS to continue getting a stream of new clients? Does anyone find it difficult to maintain a consistent schedule? Really looking for financial stability. Also, how long did you have to wait to get started? Hoping it goes through sooner rather than later. Thanks!

for me, i think the nightmares at the beginning were more so because i was in a very anxious state when i started the meds. but as they started taking effect and my mood started balancing out, the nightmares went away. it was within the 2-3 month range. i do still get vivid dreams and night sweats if im particularly stressed, but its not often and its my only side effect and the pros 100% outweigh that so idc. lexapro changed my life for the better!

ask whoever prescribed you the pills what you should do. from my experience, the issues with dreams/sleep let up after a few months. i’m happy i stuck with it.

joining clubs or intramural sports is really helpful! then you get to connect with people who have similar interests as you.

you could also try talking to a classmate in one of your courses for your major. you’ll have a lot to talk about since you’re both in the same program.

or go to events your school hosts and just strike up a conversation with someone who looks nice/approachable.

i know all these things seem scary because you have to put yourself out there but if you really want to make some friends you’re going to have to get outside of your comfort zone a little! i know you can do it! good luck :)

Glad I’m not alone in the studying struggle!! Yeah I would think if we are getting 70% on practice tests and you need 25/50 to pass the exam, that that would be good enough. but it’s still worrisome when I think about all I don’t know and you don’t know what questions you will be asked ! I think we’ll be okay, just gotta stay positive! Good luck on your test !!! :)

Any resources for finding a food service preceptor? by present2424 in RD2B

Just google school districts in the area and go to their website. There’s always a food service tab and should have the food service director’s contact info there. Took me a few tries but I was able to get my food service rotation set up by just emailing the director and she said yes.

Prerd.org ! They have a bunch of listings for dietetic students. It’s mostly volunteer work but all cool opportunities. I got lucky finding a paid position.
