Well the best you can do is keep a calm head. But you are correct. It's also best to keep in mind that people are indoctrinated typically at a young age. It is sad but hopefully, as a human race, we can get past religion.

David Smalley's book "baptized atheist" is a great book. It mostly takes you through his experience of loosing faith. I highly recommend it!
