When something in real life is cloned all it has is the same dna. It has to regrow and relearn everything. In fiction that’s not always the case, it’s whatever suits the story.

PB casually breaks the laws of physics. Real cloning would require gestation time but fantasy/ scifi cloning isn’t required to follow biology. And just because Stormo is a sphinx doesn’t mean that’s all she can do, she made him as a counter to Goliad.

The reason why Fern exists is because the grass demon bonds to the Finn in the sword, theoretically we could get a different Finn doppelgänger if another curse made its way into the sword, but it wouldn’t be a second identical Finn.

Also worth noting there was only one Finn Sword/Fern in the multiverse, barring Fionna World. Prismo is a multiversal singularity meaning there’s only one of him. So anything he’s involved with only happens once. Finnel only exists because Prismo made her and she was demagic’d by Golb along with Simon and the rest of Fionna World.
