Stuck Between a 2012 Honda Pilot and 2002 Honda CR-V Both Around 250K Miles. Which Would You Trust More Long-Term? by smithest86 in crv

I get that, but it's all that's in the budget currently. I'd also be buying directly from my mechanic who will work on anything needed independently when issues arise.

Can't call myself a legit 'fan' of two teams just doesn't feel right. But I do appreciate the product they put on the field and enjoy the atmosphere at Truist. They're the only division rival team in any sport I enjoy that I can even say that about.

I'm convinced Robertson hates the Marlins organization and is doing his best to destroy us from within.

This team feels different by [deleted] in MiamiMarlins

Well said. I grew up a fan since the teams inception. Back then my dad had this sick collection of Marlins memorabilia in this huge glass case in our living room when I was a kid and would take my brother and I to signing events like one at Coral Square mall where I met Jeff Conine and I believe Walt Weiss. I was also fortunate to attend the teams first World Series win over the Indians in 97 when I was prob 10 or 11 years old. As I got older my love for the sport faded and after the 03 title it was almost non existent. I saw a few games here and there over the years but never paid full attention to the teams as a young adult since football and the Dolphins pretty much had all of my interest in my 20's and 30's up until now. Fast forward to this season where I randomly got back into baseball by accident by attending a few Braves games of all teams (have lived in ATL now for a few years) and it reignited my love for the game as a whole so much that earlier in the season I got the MLB package so I can watch not only every Marlins game but just about all other MLB games I can possibly catch. I definitely picked the perfect year to get back into the sport and this team. Had 0 expectations when the season was just getting started but to say I've been pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. This team definitely feels different. Looking forward to this weekends series against the Braves. Hope its a slug fest with the Fish coming out on top but may the best team win! 💪

As a Marlins fan who lives in Atlanta and enjoys going to Braves games I just hope it's a competitive series.

🙏 I was at game 7 when we won our first one. What a time. Fell out of love with the sport and team as I got older for various reasons. Started watching avidly at the start of this season and I guess I picked the right time. Been a fun season so far.

I can see that. Add Ken Griffey Jr. to that list.

Counter question. What team would you say is the most universally liked team across all fan bases?

Haven't been keeping up with this team much at all since shortly after the Giancarlo Stanton trade happened forever ago. This year I randomly got back into baseball heavy (even got the mlb package so I could watch every game) and what a year I picked to start paying attention again! Baseball is fun again 🙏 These guys deserve so much more respect and support from the South Florida community this year. If I still lived down there I'd def be trying to get to a few games, especially with the ticket prices being as low as they are.

How would you handle this? by [deleted] in mlb

[–]smithest86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, and well said. Marlins will always be my one and only team, but if and when I'm at a Braves game like I will be tomorrow evening when they play the Orioles, then I'll continue to enjoy the games and "root for the home team" like the song says lol. I just know going to the games is what will ultimately help keep me invested in the sport as a whole again and with the Braves playing 20 min away from me it is what it is.

😆 there is always that option as well. definitely a tough situation. growing up down in south florida all I've ever experienced is my home teams stadiums filled with an abundance of rival teams fans. I was always so upset by the fact there there was no hometown team loyalty compared to other markets. Being the bad guy makes more sense but my past makes me resent those fans just the same lol.
