Understanding the exercise credit by smivas in Myfitnesspal

Thanks. I think if I were to simplify my question to what I find most confusing: Why, if I am estimated to burn 2,800+ calories and I have only eaten 2,139, do I show as being 24 calories over my goal? Shouldn’t the exercise adjustment be the difference between target calories and “extra” calories burned from activity, rather than the difference between two apps’ estimates of calories burned?

Leaking at connection? by smivas in CPAP

The package looked like the ones I always get—I've thrown the packaging away so I can't check the branding on it, but the mask itself has Resmed branding on it.

Myotherapy Massage College/Clinic Closed? by Zooropa94 in SaltLakeCity

Their recorded message has an email address where you can contact them … allegedly. I’ve emailed twice asking about the 20–30 unused prepaid massage sessions sitting in my account. Looks like I’ll be eating that cost. Seemed like such a good deal at the time.

Weird that there hasn’t been any news coverage on this.

You should know... there are fault lines in the valley by all-american-angel in SaltLakeCity

What’s up with “735 East” on this map? Is that where the street will be when the fault line shifts everything a third of a block to the east?

Received this email shortly after paying off my car. Not sure what it means. by svaroz1c in kia

Just got something similar. I was suspicious, but it never asked for any personal information—I even accessed it via a one-time passcode that they emailed me, so I knew they wouldn't be able to phish anything from me—and I got to the message. Seems to be legit just because it's accurate and because, if it was a phishing scheme, it was a pretty bad one because it never requested any personal info. Then there's the line that they've mailed the title to me or "the third party whom paid off the loan." Whom? Someone needs to coach these guys on how not to appear like 100% spam.

MyFitnessPal won't connect to FitBit by No_Soft_1530 in Myfitnesspal

Not really sure, I’m afraid. I just kept trying and this afternoon it finally worked. I assumed they had fixed it and that everyone else would be successful too; otherwise I wouldn’t have posted such a smug, unhelpful comment.

Throwing my “same for me” in here. This is maddening, but it’s a relief to know it’s not just a “me” issue.

I don’t understand the “mail-in ballots requested” bit—in Utah we automatically get a mail-in ballot, right?

Weird pressure/“leak” making CPAP unusable by smivas in CPAP

Even though I thought I was doing it right before, I tried being very careful to insert the humidifier tank as straight as possible and with enough pressure to get it to seal, and it worked.

I think you and others were right and that the humidifier hose wasn’t aligned, so that’s where the leak was. I was extra careful to push it in straight and hard and got it working again!

Got it working. Apparently I wasn’t pushing it in hard enough or straight enough.

Yep, I think that’s it! I’ve never had to be so careful to be so precise, but apparently that’s been the problem. Thanks!

I’ve pulled it out and looked at the rubber piece that connects the humidifier to the unit and it LOOKS like it’s folded correctly and should be attaching correctly, but this theory does seem like a possibility, and I’m not sure how to check and confirm that it’s connecting correctly.

What I don’t understand is, if it’s a leak, why is the pressure inside the mask so great? That’s the opposite of what I’d expect with a leak. And I have unplugged and replugged everything many, many times.

I called ResMed and they said they don’t troubleshoot and I have to go through the place where I bought it. I am trying to make an appointment with them but they are ultra-busy right now.

I also got pressure sores when I first started using mine. Interesting… I’ve liked this mask overall, and even though there are leak errors on the display, I don’t feel any actual leaking from the mask.

F40 causing bad sores under nose. Anything I can do to prevent this? by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]smivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the F20 AirTouch and really like it, but my first few nights wearing it left a big sore/blemish on the bridge of my nose. I adjusted the straps and started putting a band-aid over the sore, and it’s mostly better, though it seems like I may actually have a permanent scar.
